Josh is 17wks old as of yesterday, 4mo as of today!
We had a dermatology followup on Jan 25th to look at his birthmark again. Things we learned, that it is unchanged (not much news on that), and since it is stable we can wait and look at it again in the spring. We also learned that he was 13lb10 oz.
Notice that was 4 weeks ago.
Next well baby visit is Friday afternoon, and I am fully expecting him to be 15+
He has been enjoying the hell out of daycare, he loves people, and being around people, voices, music, and language. He was so happy when I said he was going back to 'school' after we were snowed in for so long!
He is pretty consistently 'sleeping through the night' (6 or more hours in a row) but more often he sleeps for a 7-8 hr span and then wakes up hungry once or twice after that. I tend to gauge when bed time is by how much he has slept at school. (tonight he was in bed at 7) When he does wake up, he eats just enough to not be hungry anymore, and passes out again. Recently he has been bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at about 6:30, and even been awake when I get him to school.
He is an extraordinarily happy baby. If he looks at someone and kinda smiles, and they give him a smile back, especially a BIG smile, Josh lets out a cackle and grins.
Josh is beginning to actively interact with his little toys. Froggy is on the carseat handle (FroggyII is a similar toy that hangs out near his rocker) Deer Thing is also a rocker toy. Freddie Firefly roves around the first floor, and Blinkie the Fish is in the packnplay. Noodle is the hyperbolic blanket I crocheted for him, and it lives in the crib. There are more of course, but those are the major points of toy interaction.
He has also discovered foot splashing during his bath, and enjoys batting SuperDuckie with his hands and feet.
Oh, and I almost forgot, I have started reading to him before bed, now that he is more alert. 3 nights so far, and he seems to really enjoy it. Tonight, he even turned his head and looked at the book while I was reading it. He wasn't watching me, he was watching the book. Pretty neat. :)
Anyways, he is super cute, and really very sweet.
I love him to pieces, he is My Sweetness.
