I can't believe I'm only just now learning about "Epic Mickey" for the Wii. I got the relevant issue of Game Informer just for the cover, which is amazing IMO.
I'm impressed that they seem to be using characters that haven't really seen the light of day in decades. Never mind the Mad Doctor and Oswald the Rabbit...the main villain is the Phantom Blot?! Holy crap! I haven't seen the Blot since Disney Adventures used to run old Mickey comics over a decade ago.
Some of the concept art is just creepy as all hell especially the mechanical versions of assorted characters...and the mechanical chimeras made out of assorted characters. I'm kinda glad the in-game screenshots don't appear to be as freaky looking (though certainly surreal all the same). But I'm loving the theme park references.
