[Mix #1: Codelyrica]
Hello, cyanmix! Since Elise is back in town, I should finally make good on my promise to at some point post here, and post here now.
I got the urge to make mix CDs for the first time quite suddenly sometime this past spring, as I was looking at one of a pair of mixes my friend Keri made me for my twentieth-or-so birthday, and it occurred to me that this sort of endeavour would probably be a lot of fun. This might have gone the way of a lot of my artistic whims, save that I had an IRC window open at the time, and, when I asked it if anyone there would like a mix made for them, two people immediately volunteered.
(* These are the only two not my own I have, that I can think of. I came at this hobby kind of sideways - I've never been in a social circle where they were commonly exchanged, or, for that matter, made any for myself - which makes me a little nervous to be drawing attention to myself in this community; what if there's some totally common sense convention I've completely failed to observe? This fear is probably a little exaggerated.)
"Codelyrica" (the title is a play on the guy's handle) is the first one I made, and I'm still very happy with it; I like the shape. He sent me a fearsomely comprehensive list of the tracks he already had; I skimmed through it to find the deficiencies, and my memory is that this fell together very quickly and easily from those and other songs I just happened to be excited about at the time (except for the order of the three at the end, which I vacillated over right up to the point I burned it and sent it out).
