bird talk.

While trying to transfer Ripley from my hand to my shoulder, he tripped and tumbled into my lap. As I helped him back up, I said to him, "I'm sorry!" He replied, "it's okay." (He says "I'm sorry" somewhat excessively, usually when I scold him, knowing that I almost always respond with "it's okay." This is the first time he's said it to me, though.)

He's also been saying "want juice" and "want some bread" as I am drinking cranberry juice and eating a sandwich. While eating them, he takes occasional breaks to say "it's good yummy."

According to Allison and Steve, he has been in the habit of apparently telling the story of what happens on most afternoons when I get home from work. Typically, his story goes: "Wanna come out? Open door step up. Go in kitchen. Go potty? Clean up poop. Ow, no bite! Go in cage." Sometimes there are additional phrases thrown in there, but that is a pretty accurate retelling on both ends.

Just now, he told me, "you look yummy." I'm not sure how to take that.
