The memoirs of a goverment issued record player

Aug 03, 2004 01:42

A vinyl memory
Replacing confidence
A voice not new
But droning in
A tone of friendliness

We’ve heard this voice before
And it’s not the last that we’ll hear
It’s just last time
That we’ve heard
Within the four remaining years

I haven’t gambled since the last time
i lost my house.
I flipped the coin on heads
to realize the coin was heads

A quarter term
Was all it took to see the truth
A quarter turn
A quarter term
Will just keep turning heads

And in the next four years
Four times the coins are turned
With each the same result
A starving rat
And an inebriated man

You see it’s just a Cycle
That cannot be escaped
Leaving just the raped behind
And the politicians in the lead
