I see that BofA got another chunk of money from taxpayers today. A few weeks ago, I completed an online application for a mortgage refinance. I was pre-approved and told that I would be contacted within 36 hours by a mortgage specialist. Four days later, I got an automated call telling me that due to the high call volume, they were behind on these applications.
I called another lender and closed on the loan today. I still haven't heard anything from BofA, not even through the mail.
I'm no economist but maybe, just maybe, if they called their customers, if they didn't lay off the people who service those customers, they might be doing better in the banking business.
