Apple "care"

Sep 15, 2009 12:41

Bought a new battery for my MacBook in May.
The battery is completely dead.
It needs to be replaced.
It's still under warranty.
At any other store, I'd be able to walk in, give it to them, and get a replacement.

At Apple I have to make an appointment, go there on time, wait around for at least half an hour past my appointment time, watch them do everything I did to confirm the problem, and then have them tell me that yes, it needs to be replaced.

Oh, except that there are no appointments available within the next seventy-two hours at any of the Manhattan Apple stores, and I can't reserve any further ahead than that.

So yeah. I have a dead laptop battery and I don't know when I'll be able to replace it. Thanks, Apple.
