When does the tiger roar?

So this week, I seemed to have a theme going with my writing. Has that ever happened to you, where you try to write four or five different things and they all end up being about the same thing, or speak with a similar voice, or have some other kind of theme to them?

This past week, my theme was trying to piss people off, it seemed. Whether I was snapping back at the gaming public for seemingly abandoning an otherwise good handheld video game system for no good reason, baiting Amy Winehouse's fans and supporters, or coming up with legitimate reasons for piracy (take that, MPAA!) I probably didn't make any new friends with what I wrote this week. About the only thing that I wrote that wasn't deliberately trying to anger anyone was my review of Fantasia.

Ah well. Occasionally, tigers roar.

Adventures of a Canadian Gamer #36 - The White Collar Criminal
It's like they've denied us access to the ticket gate for a major concert, and then made it illegal to hear what's going on from the outside. Or better yet, we're not allowed to purchase an air license, and they can't understand why we still are illegally breathing all the time. We'd pay for the air, but you're not letting us.

[unknown artist - unknown title] #13 - Please Jackie, Don't Get Drunk This Christmas
Her fans will probably disagree with me, but the only person to blame for her death is herself. I mean, sure, my body is a temple, but it seemed like she went out of her way to make her body a wine house.

Gaming Review - CSI: Fatal Conspiracy
If Ubisoft were developing another CSI game for the Xbox 360 right after Fatal Conspiracy, they’d have to completely rewrite their scripts now, create two new character models (three if they want to include the other new girl, played by Elisabeth Harnois), all the while trying to complete the game and publish it before any more actors leave the show.

Disney Animated Canon #3 - Fantasia
Maybe I’m being unfair, but I think that when I go to see a movie, I want to see a movie and not a beta test of the lighting rig.

Keyframe Review - Clerks
I don’t know about you, but I’d think that things that can go boom and kill you are much more dangerous than pot.

Damage Control - PSP: Remember the Contender
I've always maintained that gamers go where the games are, yet the PSP was flung aside like a used condom.
