gotta love the subject line, eh? ah, i miss him too.
No worries on the lack of visitage, we are both guilty on that front. so, I'll multiply your guilt by action over my guilt, and the guilts will cancel out and we will be left with action. (can you tell i have a chem 2 summer class?) So, action means chillin multiple times next year. Done deal. Now if i could only get spike to you.. he is even more unhappy to be in my possession for yet another summer.
I am elated that you are in Rome, soak it up for me, will ya? My grandmother lived in Rome for 3 months, and Justin did an exchange program in Rome junior year of highschool. Both parties adored their time there, and for Justin, it was a life changing experience, as in one of the most pivital events in his life. So i get how wonderful of a time you must be having. Justin was especially enamored with michaelangelos statues, in the flesh. Especially the Pieta. and the ruins. and the food! ah, food. There is a reason why Italy is almost always preceeded by a sigh (Ah, Venice; Ah, Rome; Ah, Tuscany). hidden in that sigh is the experience of Italy, beyond words. You'll have to tell me all about it later, till then, just experience experience experience and soak it up.
All those other places are nice, I guess, but they ain't Rome.
Also, after some nut knocked off the Madonna's nose with a chisel (they've restored it now), the Pieta is like so far away! You can only get like 10 feet away from it. Criminal.
I might prefer Bernini's sculpture, but there's no comparison with Michelangelo's David. And Caravaggio... ah, Caravaggio!
