You just haven't earned it yet baby
Two weeks ago the Deputy Director of my department at work gave me the fantastic news that I was going to be moved onto a new grade and pay scale. It meant a huge raise in salary (another 6K a year) and an extra five days annual leave.
Today without any apology or explanation whatsoever - he told me I'm now not going to get it.
Grrrr
It is with a great deal of satisfaction that I am sat here at work having done fuck all all day with no intentions of doing much in the future either....
