Poundage

The gym nearly killed me today. I think it had more to do with the fact that I ate virtually nothing yesterday--I literally forgot to eat--and so didn't have a lot of gas today as a result. But rather than curtail my workout, I just took more breaks. The workout took longer but I was bound and determined to see it through.

I've lost five pounds this week. Not sure what to think about that. Yes, I'm glad I've lost five pounds because I need to lose some of the extra weight that's crept on, but five pounds in a week is a bit much. Even yesterday, I was down three for the week, so I can't blame it all on my accidental starvation diet of yesterday.

Perhaps tonights stack of pancakes will offset that. ;-)

It occurred to me during my workout today, though: Two years ago, I weighed 260 lbs. I lost 75 pounds in the year that followed. I've been very good about keeping the weight off, too (which is probably why I'm freaked out more than I need to be about my extra pounds from the past two months).
