Single again.
Things with Audrey just weren't going to work out. Or well, perhaps it's more accurate to say they were working out really well. But she's not moving up here and I'm not moving down there, so we seemed to finally reach the point where we needed to talk about it. "So where's the future in that?" she asked. I could've asked the same thing.
That's the good thing: we were both on the exact same page about this, so it was a completely mutual decision. Best to make it now, we decided, before we got too emotionally invested, which would only make the decision harder because our situations would be just as intractable.
I'm not busted up about this at all, though. It was the right choice and the right time to make it. She was a lot of fun to hang out with, and I'll miss having her as my "Friend," but hopefully we'll still keep in touch as friends. That's the plan, anyway.
