Exam #3, Day 02

Aug 19, 2012 03:15

I finished day two with 6,785 words over 18 pages. I felt most of the day like I was chasing pages, trying to make up for the slow pace of day one. It really wasn't until I settled around ten p.m. in after my dinner break that I felt good about being able to finish on time. I pushed through another five hours after that, and now I feel like I'm in a good position to finish up by mid-afternoon, which should give me several hours to proof and edit if I need it. I'll try and finish, take a break and let things settle for an hour or two, and then try to polish it.

The exam has been a lot of fun to write, and I could easily get a book out of this topic were I to feel inclined to go that way. I doubt I will, at least not anytime soon, although it's great stuff to write about. I will, however, take what I've written and split it up into a series for the blog.

Of course, I need to get the paper finished first--so, onward!
