So - first time EVER creating a fanmix, let alone for this specific crossover pairing. I do love crossover pairings, so it was challenging and fun to create/work with!

Dean realizes he can't stay in Tree Hill - there's a job out there for him to do and he can't sit by watching demons slaughter innocent people. Brooke doesn't know that he goes out to battle demons that are worse than those in her worst nightmares. She does what she has to though. She lets him go.

On the road again - Dean tries to lose himself into the hunt and destiny all the while remembering her.
At home - Brooke loses herself into her clothing line and her friends. Trying to convince herself that he wasn't worth it.

So I wait for the day
To take the courage to say how much I love you
Days, weeks and months later Brooke realizes she can't convince herself that she doesn't love him and remembers everything about him. She stays up late, hoping he thinks of her.

When I'm losing my control, the city spins around
You're the only one who knows, you slow it down
He returns and realizes she helps him in more ways than he had realized. They fight and slowly start to repair what they've lost.

Reunited at last.

Dean doesn't do country but he figures this song fits pretty well when it comes to his feelings for Brooke. He doesn't do country but he loves her and she loves him - that's all that matters.
