Because Tenimyu, like Gokusen, is all about the plot

Sep 30, 2010 00:06

I actually have a theory as to why Gokusen 3 is the gayest of the three series' despite Gokusen 2 having Kame and Jin, collectively known as AKAME and the original Gokusen having MATSUMOTO JUN of ARASHI (which should already speak for itself).

Gokusen 3 has not one, not two, but FOUR Tenimyu alums as reoccurring 3-D students and not one, not two, but FIVE in cameo appearances. Tenimyu, if you don't know stands for Prince of Tennis: The Musical and as its name implies, is a musical about Prince of Tennis the manga. Actors who graduate from Tenimyu inevitably start off their careers by doing BL-movies.

This is Hamao Kyosuke (4th Gen Kikumaru Eiji); besides looking extremely adorable he doesn't really do much in Gokusen other than run around in coordinated rows from time to time. I didn't really pay that much attention to him in Gokusen and Tenimyu but then I discovered THAT MOVIE which I seriously will talk about in another post because IT IS SO AMAZING!

This is Kujirai Kousuke (2nd Gen Kaidoh). Not a personal favourite, and really the only thing I know about him is that he played Kaidoh during Shirota Yuu's run as Tezuka. My bias; be awed by it!

This is Yuki Jutta. Yuki Jutta is really quite small and quite effeminate looking, especially during those rare times when he actually has hair. In Tenimyu, he plays Jackal Kuwahara; Rikkaidai's personal big, bald, Brazillion member. Yes, you read that right; Brazilian. But I'm forever biased towards Rikkai and Hyotei and thus, the members can do no wrong in my eyes.

Nakayama Masei plays Inui.

The Cameos.

Episode 3:

This is Aoyagi Ruito (Mukahi Gakuto). Ruito had absolutely no lines and spent his entire 5 seconds of screen time in the back; but in other news, I remember a time watching Tenimyu when Ruito was still an infant. He made me feel like such a pedo-baachan at the time shipping him with Saito and fangirling over his flexibility. He's grown up so much, and his hair has grown out so much. They just shoot up right before your eyes, these youngins.

SP:

This is Saito Takumi, or as he is commonly known in his Native Red-Indian tongue; Kills You With His Voice. He only made an appearance in the SP, obviously his way of mutiny because Ruito had such little screen time. I comfort myself during the times of shipping Ruito with Saito knowing that although Ruito was about 15 at the time, I was 20, Saito was 24 BECAUSE THAT MAKES IT ALRIGHT. I've missed you, Japanese fandom, and all your legal aged boys.

Episode 5:

This is Shindo Gaku. I've been attracted to Shindo Gaku since the first time I laid eyes on him. His name is ridiculously catchy, his face is ridiculously attractive and his back-stages are ridiculously dorky. The Rokkaku musical cast gave life to the otherwise uninteresting Rokkaku members. Not to mention the Bermuda shorts and the Sentai poses.

Episode 8:

Takiguchi Yukihiro has a NICE GUY face, thus it's inevitable that he always ends up playing the nice guy; Oishi, Akaike and quite possible every single role he's had since. In Gokusen 3 he plays the meanie and does so so very convincingly. He is my number one favourite Oishi onstage, and my number two most favourite Oishi back stage. My two favourite Oishi's are played by Tuti and Takki and I suddenly have this incredible urge to hear Takki randomly blurt out PARQUE ESPANIA! I don't even know what that means.

Episode 9:

Yagami Ren, or as he's commonly known as, Ouji, plays Yukimura Seiichi; the sickly but badass captain of Rikkaidai. He spends most of the musical in a bed angsting and having eyesex with Sanada. He's actually a really attractive person when you see him in plain clothing backstage, but neither the pajamas nor the awful wig do anything to prove that. He makes a really convincing bad guy in Gokusen though.

This is Wakaba Ryuuya and his co-actor, Wakaba Ryuuya's Hair. Wakaba Ryuuya isn't an alum of Tenimyu and the only reason for his presence is because he is Wakaba Ryuuya and he plays the least convincing highschool bully in the world ever. In the near future, I forsee that Wakaba Ryuuya will act in yet another highschool drama playing yet another highschooler.

That is all.
