SPOILERS ART HERE

A few months ago I was really into Pandora Hearts after being introduced to it by beppin14, but I watched the anime and lost interest in the manga after about 1 chapter. Meanwhile I got really into two other mangas, one was Fullmetal Alchemist because the new series was being aired on Animax (WHICH SHOWED A NEW OP WITH OMFGYAY OLIVIER MILLA ARMSTRONG. ILU! ♥) another was Kuroshitsuji.

Kuroshitsuji shares a lot of similarities with Pandora incidentally.

CIEL PHANTOMHIVE: The annoying kid.
Pandora counterpart: Oz Vesalius, though he is so much more annoying that Oz. But whereas Oz is warm, kind and caring, Ciel is cold, manipulative and pretty much heartless.

To be fair, the only reason I find Ciel annoying as heck is because he's a kid, which makes his cold indifference and angst irritating. Ciel wears an eyepatch because he made a deal with a demon and has the seal mark on his eye, dresses in drag on at least two occasions, has boring ass conversations about tea with Sebastian as the former is DRESSING HIM and has a love-hate dependency and NEED for Sebastian to constantly be there for him. If he were older, I'd really like him, but he's a kid, so naturally that makes him irritating. I really hate kids. He also waltz around with a pimp cane. I hate Ciel. But also like Oz, Ciel has a really cool family name and I'm not just saying this because Oz's family name is also the name of Rau Le Creuset's ship in Gundam SEED.

SEBASTIAN MICHAELS: The constant sidekick, the loyal subject whose past is shrouded in mystery (and the mystery is that he's a Demon bound to Ciel's every whim until the time comes when he'll rip the soul out of the annoying little snot's body. Also he appears to Ciel the first time wearing a pair of high-heeled hooker boots).
Pandora counterpart: (To an extent) Gilbert Nightray.

Sebastian is the perfect butler in every way possible. He can do anything, cook anything, manage to clean up every type of mess under any circumstances and solve any crisis without getting a wrinkle in his suit. He can also hunt down and kill an entire battalion of mafia henchmen, rescue his master, survive getting shot thirty times and still make it in time to prepare the perfect dinner. Unlike Gilbert Nightray, as loyal as Sebastian is to Ciel, he isn't all that bothered about his well-being. He insults Ciel on numerous occasions and is obviously only obligated to save him because of the deal. Sebastian has a weak spot for cats, explains why I like him so much.

THE UNDERTAKER: The resident weirdo.
Pandora counterpart: Xerxes Break.

The Undertaker, as his name states, is an undertaker. He is voiced by Suwabe Junichi; I thought I'd just mention that because it's SUWABE JUNICHI! And as his occupation states, he undertakes the handling of dead bodies, more specifically in Kuroshitsuji, the bodies of the women killed by Jack the Ripper. When The Undertaker isn't busy digging his claws into the bowels of dead women, he orgasms on jokes. I'm not kidding. He gets high when he hears a good joke. He also serves his guests tea in beakers, who are shocked when they find out that the beakers the tea was served, inside the autopsy room of the morgue may have actually held human organs at one point. No shit. The Undertaker in the anime and the manga so far (as the first season of the anime has ended and the manga is still on-going) go in separate directions. In the manga, The Undertaker was once a member of the 'Evil Nobles' and in the anime, The Undertaker is a highly respected retired Shinigami.

GRELLE SUTCLIFFE: The RED.
Pandora counterpart: VINCENT NIGHTRAY!

Intermission: The first are foremost reason why Grelle Sutcliffe's awesomeness is blinding and his counterpart is Vincent, you're going to be floored by this beppin14; both are voiced by FUKUYAMA JUN! I used to not notice Fukuyama Jun or was indifferent about him, but he has since become one of my top five most favourite seiyuu's ever!

Grelle Sutcliffe is amazing with a capital A. His sparkling brilliance is unrivaled. His beauty is unparalleled. His amazing awesomeness will leave everybody in awe. Grelle Sutcliffe is one HOT BITCH because Grelle is a true blue, hot blooded, lipstick wearing, eyelash donning, high-heel strutting flaming homo!

Let's start from the beginning. We are introduced to Grelle Sutcliffe as the dull looking, incompetent bumbling butler who worked for Madame Red. I say worked for because he killed her with his scythe, which is a CHAINSAW. He and Madame Red were in cohorts, working as sole entity under the name of Jack the Ripper, killing and mutilating women in cold blood. But in actuality Grelle Sutclife is a--

During his stint as Madame Red's bungling butler, he apparently swooned over Sebastian's ability and his reputation as the one butler to rule them all. We later find out, he swooned over Sebastian. Grelle Sutcliffe is in love with Sebastian. He likens their dramatic situation of impossible love, his being a Shinigami and Sebastian a demon, to the woeful tragic tale of Romeo and Juliet.

Grelle also isn't afraid of voicing his fantasies out loud, especially the fantasies that involve Sebastian (which are all of them).

AFGDKJSBFJIDHFNEKJFNEOFINEOFINEFOEOVUBDVJBVOIUBVOIBNOVHBVIUJBVIWURVBIWURVBWJR!

Did I mention that Grelle refers to himself as 'Watashi?'

GRELLE SUTCLIFFE = WIN AT LIFE.

Although, I don't know what it is about Fukuyama Jun's characters and mutilating dolls.

There are so many other awesome character in Kuroshitsuji that I may have to make another post someday but for now, if this isn't enough reason for you to watch/read it, than I don't know what is. THIS MEANS YOU beppin14

review au revoir, kuroshitsuji is the shit
