They do look very good in this picture. I've been trying to stay as spoiler-free as I can, but pics like these just make you want to squee, don't they ( ... )

I keep hoping and hoping that they'll give us something to squee about even more in the actual film, but the spoiler from the one who watched the preview isn't very encouraging, as he mentions that this is the only scene where H/G kiss in part 1. They actually hyped a bit more about the locket kiss and the totally non-canon dance between H/Hr. Okay... I've said too many things about these two scenes so I'm not going to say anymore and just let you judge my reaction from my emoticon ( ... )

I've not actually read the posts about the DH preview. But I've heard some people comment that it's good and others not so. In the book of course, H and G don't have a lot of interaction either in DH but still they should sort of build on the relationship a bit more to get the general audience to understand why she's sort of his reason to fight ( ... )

Bonnie was rather underwhelming in all the movies, but I blame the scriptwriter for that. Steve Kloves is most obviously a Hermione/Emma fan and so he gave all the good lines to her, and the rest to Luna/Evanna. Even poor Tonks has been shunted to one side and she had lots of good bits in canon OotP and HBP ( ... )

It's certainly true that Hermione gets a lot of good lines (and her acting has actually only started to improve in HBP if you ask me) and I adore Luna but in actuality, Luna's character in the books isn't nearly as important as GInny's, so yeah why they haven't given Bonnie/Ginny more to work with, I don't know. Even though if she'd had good lines in HBP, Bonnie would've probably not made the most of it. I really really want to love her, but truth be said, she did sort of say every line in HPB in exactly the same tone. I think she was just in that period that all teenagers are a bit uncertain of themselves and it shows. When she was younger, she was a lot more feisty but now she's this sort of timid beauty - which isn't Ginny, now is it ( ... )

You know, I think JKR kept Ginny's profile deliberatly low in DH? She gives snippets here and there but nothing major and it do think it suits the storyline, because the books aren't really a romance story. But she might have given us just a tad bit more *begs*.

Well, yeah - I would have given anything just to read that Harry touched Ginny's arm or put his arm around her as they're seeing Al and James off the Hogwarts Express. That's just one extra line to write if you think about it. ;)

Oh, and Pettigrew doesn't die in the movie. How stupid is that? What's the point? I would have preferred that if they were going to do something like that, then they should spare Fred instead; I still can't believe that JKR offed him! *sniff*

Well, yeah - I would have given anything just to read that Harry touched Ginny's arm or put his arm around her as they're seeing Al and James off the Hogwarts Express. Yes yes yes! I always thought that the final chapter could have been something more in terms of the dynamics. Just a touch or a wink or just anything, really, would have been nice. But let's hope she had good reasons (and maybe that she's planning a sequel series sometime in the future with lots of H/G goodies in it ( ... )

When Harry comes down to the great hall after he goes to Dumbledore's office and he leaves with Hermione and Ron? It just didn't feel right that he didn't glance at Ginny or just touch or hug her or acknowledge her existence. I mean he just went through all that - he knows what she means to him...give the readers something for crying out loud, right?

It was a definite WTF? moment for me. After all the drama of Ginny being the last person he sees before he dies, he leaves with Ron and Hermione without even going over to talk to her. Forget the "they had days and weeks, etc., etc." spiel. If I had been Harry, the first thing I would do is to grab my supposed soulmate and kiss the living daylights out of her before I went up to talk to DD's portrait. He stopped to talk to Luna but he couldn't talk to Ginny? And even after, a sandwich was higher on his priority list than Ginny. *grumble grumble* Ok, stopping my rant now. :)

I'm right there with you!! That sandwich was just a bit too much - maybe JKR was just really hungry *rollseyes*

Though I sort of - when I try really hard to turn off my shipper brain and fantasies - get why she did that, I suppose. There is so much to be said between H and G and apparently this is not something she wanted to publish so she leaves it to the reader's imagination (luckily for her we have really good fanfic writers *drools*) but really, a glance, a touch of her hand, a long hard blazing look, whatever...she could have done SOMETHING, right? You don't just die with a persons kiss on your mind then to go straight to your dormitory and have a bite to eat. Even thick Harry wouldn't do that!

I will stop ranting too - I could go on about this for a bit - *blushes*

Hee hee. We'll both be b*tching and moaning about this forever. Glad to know I wasn't the only one who was disappointed with the lack of H/G time, but hey, we weren't asking for much, were we? ;) Thanks for commiserating.

We definitely aren't asking for much - so I'll expect a decent H/G interaction in the DH film. If not, we attack WB with the good stuff *g*
Thank you for commiserating as well, sometimes it's just good to groan and moan a bit, isn't it?

I will also try to resist the spoilers, I want my mind to be as open as possible. Since I'll be spending most of september and october in the States, that shouldn't be TOO big of a problem *bites nails in despair*

I can't believe we've been gadding about all this time and I haven't friended you! *headdesk* I hope you don't mind...

Course not! You're very welcome. I read most of your fic though I'm not sure I've already friended you.
Feel free to check out my LJ though I have to admit I don't update very often. I get so busy at work sometimes that by the end of the day my own life and obsessions aren't that interesting anymore *blushes* You can find what little fic I write on there though.

It's been a lovely chat btw - it's so nice to have a companion in misery *winks*

I dont think she does. She got paid and is continuing to get paid. She even told Kloves that H/Hr was never to be and he still did it his way. Too bad his own movies cannot resonate anywhere near HP books.

PS. his Fabulous Baker Boys was not a good movie but rather good acting by the Bridges & Pfeiffer.
