Being a child of the 70’s, the Nixon presidency was intrigual to my early years both his success and scandals. I remember quite a bit from my early years, but what I didn’t remember was the famed David Frost interviews that the current Broadway touring show and movie are based off of.
The current Broadway tour star’s Stacey Keach as Nixon and was quite good. Presented without intermission and told from the point of view of two narrators. On the Frost side the point person was a stereotypical liberal who wanted nothing more than to ‘put Nixon on trail, one he never had’ and the Nixon side was from the point of his chief of staff.
During the interviews you got to see Nixon as a compassionate, emotional person - something I did recall him being in the entire public persona he presented. The show is a good one.
