Well it finally happened, my little KIA has crossed over into the next realm the over 100,000 mile mark.   This car I bought brand new in September 2003 has been a lot of places.  I think it had like 23 miles on the odometer when I got it.

It has been to both oceans, to the northern most city in the 48 and to the southern most point in the US (Key West).   It moved to Florida with me, and back and has made countless trips to Chicago.  Forth the most part it is in great shape, nothing major has broken and probably spent may $1,000 total it repairs over time.  It has been in two accidents, one where I rear-ended a hot 16 year old boy in the rain on my way to Mora MN,  and the other where I got hit by a drunk driver, who did not have a license, was in the country illegally and who was on the wrong side of the divided highway.  (Who coincidentally was still in the country lock up four months later when my roommate at the time got his DUI and was put in the same holding cell as that guy)

It needs some repairs right now, but all and all I am very happy with the KIA Sportage - I will buy another.  Further both my Family and my Brother have bought Kia’s in recent years.

Yeah so its Korean, but they are building like 4 new auto plants in the USA soon.

It almost happened last night, the rollover, as we were coming back from the bar, but it stopped at 99,999 so this morning, it cross.
Here is to another 100,000 !!!!
