The tale of two job offers

So I haven’t really been looking for a new job, well full time that is, for a while. With my Part-time night job and some contract work I have been working on, I have been fine with getting stuff done, etc.

So yesterday was just weird, moreover the it was a couple of weeks.

Job Opp 1
Began with and email contact last week from a recruiter who sent over some information and we spoke about an opportunity with a younger Interactive Marketing Agency. We set up a phone interview on Monday and that went well and she said the CEO would be getting in touch with me later in the week. She called on Tuesday night asking if I could speak with the CEO in 1/2 hour, I was literally on my way out the door and was unable but alerted her I was available to speak on Weds morning. The CEO Called, we talked, he called back offered me the job of Director of Operations.  I asked, can I meet you first, see you’re operation and then decide - we met today, I accepted his offer.

Job Opp 2 - Similar position with a different interactive agency, actually met in person, company is virtual which means I could have worked in my underwear, but they took too long to get back to me.

Job Opp 3 - 3 month contract Interactive/email marketing position with a fortune 500 company, called at 2:00 asking if I could drive across town for a interview at 3:30, already had a meeting schedule so I declined saying it would have to be in the morning.  They called back saying, we want you anyways, we are going to offer you the job.  I initially accepted, but declined when Job Opp one came through as a realty.
Friends are great, I think I called them all for advice on this, so I am now a Director of Operations for a prominent Interactive Marketing firm in Downtown Minneapolis.  Who’d have thought eh?
