how can you tell the difference between a zombie and a mummy? they seem to inhabit very similar niches in the field...

Zombies wear whatever they were buried in. Mummies... Oh. Hmm. I'll keep working on this.

There's your difference. Zombies' niches are in fields; mummies have niches in pyramids.

I thought it was that zombies' niches are in the fields, and mummies' riches were in the pyramids...

...at least until the graverobbers and/or archaeologists came along.
