I just find it amusing, but that's probably because I know a guy that talks like he swallowed the Webster's dictionary.

He's never said 'etc. etc.' though, I think that's a little beyond him.

I guess it just took me back.

Uh... it's not easy to explain. He does a little of both but it's more the fact that he doesn't understand or know English very well, I think, or at least not modern phrases and stuff.
