Ou sont les neiges de la semaine derniere?

Spring is at least in the process of springing, even if it hasn’t totally sprung yet. Snowdrops and crocuses (croci?) are out, daffodils are gearing up to be ready for the first of March and it’s not quite so parky out there- even my South African workmate has observed that it’s a lot warmer!
So the Imbolc/Groundhog Day tradition seems to be working so far- which doesn’t rule out colder weather in a week or two of course, but it is promising. A cold snap at some point is a given of course- cherry blossom and hail are the hallmarks of the English Spring, and was it April or May last year that it snowed? Still, Winter’s on it’s way out.

Other news, other news… well, the Best Christmas Ever To Date became the Best Winter Ever To Date and it’s looking good for the Best Spring Ever To Date.
Rather busy at the moment- quite apart from work the guitar playing continues apace- owowow for fingertips! Eric Clapton needn’t loose any sleep over it so far, but I’m picking up several chords and getting the knack of plucking as opposed to just strumming.
Wand-waving’s on the increase and I’m crocheting again- the red waistcoat thing I’ve been (not) working on for a year is up and running.
Turing loves it- when I’m sitting in bed crocheting and watching DVDs he tries to cuddle up to it- which makes working on it a bit problematical. At least, I think that’s what he’s doing….
That’s nothing compared to the meerkats though, three of which have taken up residence under the bed. They’re a cheerful bunch, if a bit noisy on occasions.
Note to self- top up on olive oil. And send ‘em the bill….
All that fits around the accountancy studying, which is self-taught at the moment with many thanks to m31andy and the notes from her studies. Although when faced with some of the equations, I find my self recollecting with tears how, in earlier years, I had taken no pains with my sums….
And just to finish up, I’ve got a couple of books on time management which I should read when I’ve a spare moment…
