I was thinking about college, and I wonder, "what the hell were they thinking when they invented this?" I mean, think about it. You take a bunch of hormone-crazed teenagers who have spent their entire lives living under their parents' supervision, then plot them down in the middle of some town to learn. I guess this is a great time for us to figure out our boundaries without gettin in (as much) trouble, and in that way, college was a great idea. On the other hand, I cannot even believe that it's allowed! I stay up past three, eat cookies for dinner, and wear my favorite old t-shirts nearly every day. Then again, I do my own laundry (thanks Alex for explaining it), make my bed every morning, and buy fruits and veggies when I go to Walmart/Kroger. College has the benefits of being an adult and the ease of being a kid. I like that. But still, what a crazy leap of faith it is to send your kid off to a place like that.
I think I'm going to have a lot of 8 am classes next semester. Damn.
