Pura Vida!! Im so happy. Today was the last day of the DU adventure. Which ended super well. We were in Puerto Limon for the last four days which is the tropical region. SOO much fun and shopping. Went kayaking, snorkeling, and zip lining which I think was the best activity of the three. We partied twice in the area. The culture in this part of costa rica is heavy caribean (since its on the caribean) with rasta vibe. Because of this I think it has the densist population of black people. The bar/club we spent most of our time at was Jhonnys place mostly reggae but on the second night hiphop and reggae. Good times! I met one of the best dancers of my lifetime all black, fit, and 6'3 needless to say good times. I also played pool with my girls and I got a little bit better. Hopefully I can beat Xavier now. Most importantly though we met an indiginous people; the Kekoldi people. Super nice, smart, and hard working people. We offered "physicals" (blood pressure, and listened to their heart and lungs) as well as give medical advice as appropriate. Some people walked 3hrs to get to us. We went on a hike on a 4hr hike in their beautiful reservation. At the top we could see the ocean and the border of Panama. The guide told us of shamans that they used. Ima see if I can get a meeting with one for my thesis. On the last day we all went out to dinner. Everybody got dressed up with the heels and the makeup. It was really nice; Luanne, Christina, George (tour guide), and Alex (driver) made speeches. Right now I'm at my families home in San Jose; super nice people. We all get along and joke around together. Part 2 of Costa Rican adventure begins!!!! Stay tuned. What will happen next!
