It is the most bizarre thing for him to be standing there. His overcoat remains wrapped around him tightly, but it has nothing to do with the brisk wind that blows every so often. The weather is rather appropriate: clouds overhead, and even though it is far from freezing, it feels like rain might decend soon.
Miles feels like he has been out of work forever. He had to check and recheck the dates posted on various newspapers. Nexus time compared to real time is a bit insane with difference, condensing a few weeks to a couple days.
Talk about jet lag.
He has to be careful, arriving at the court house earlier than necessary so he wouldn't be seen before the trial. Even with the collar of his overcoat picked up to hide his face, he knows his hair would give him away quicker. No way in hell was he putting dye in it, though. So about an hour before trial is to begin, he enters the court house.
Habit almost leads him to the DA's chambers, but he pauses and instead walks over to the Defendant's lobby, trying to not impatiently look at his watch.
