* Bruno_Glening whistled as his feet echoed on the staircase.
* Miles_Edgeworth is... such a terrible hostage, really. He doesn't cry or scream or yell or
anything. He does sort of stir when he hears the footsteps, but otherwise does nothing.
Drug withdrawal is starting to build up and suck with no food intake, anyway.
* Bruno_Glening rattles something in his hand. "You must be staaarving, Edgeyworth." He
chuckled as he suddenly lit the lantern without an ounce of warning.
* Miles_Edgeworth does wince at that, even though he should be used to it. "Not really."
Dull, bored. He's fine, until needles are brought out. And he hates Bruno so much right
now, not giving him any satisfaction.
* Bruno_Glening has a bowl of warm stew that he set just in Edgeworth's view. "You should
eat, we can't have you be skin and bones... speaking of your health." He smiled faintly as
he pressed his fingertips together.
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...
* Miles_Edgeworth looks down again, trying to ignore the fact that there's a bowl there.
With food. That smells good. He /is/ starving, but Bruno probably poisoned it.
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...No thank you.
* Miles_Edgeworth looks pale and sickly to begin with. He's probably anemic, on some levels.
All that stress did wonders to his heart, anyway. At the rate he used to live, he would
have been lucky to live to see 30.
* Bruno_Glening lifts the man's neck, and places his rough, long-nailed fingers to
Edgeworth's throat, the nails dig in. "Quite interesting pulse."
* Miles_Edgeworth tries so hard not to wince. God his neck. It always has to be his neck.
"...Wonderful."
* Bruno_Glening would not untie Edgeworth to check there. "You know the neck is where one
can take the most accurate pulse - but you won't need to remember that for long!"
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...Because you're going to kill me, right?
* Miles_Edgeworth sounds really bored. Like, god. What's taking you so long? ]]
* Miles_Edgeworth is really terrified to die, as established the other day, but he's good at
acting.
[Bruno_Glening] there's no use lying,
* Bruno_Glening is picking up a spoon, then looks over Edgeworth, an obviously devious
thought had popped into his head, as he sets it down, and rolls up Edgeworth's pant leg.
* Miles_Edgeworth ...tenses up, without meaning to. Damn his nerves being shot and all.
"...What are you doing?"
[Bruno_Glening] You're just perfect, a bit Anemic - but fair stamnia... probably could
survive, three four... *he giggled* He is right about having all the parts made from
Titanium rather then just coat it.
[Bruno_Glening] Can't have you catch an infection.
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...what?
* Miles_Edgeworth is totally confused. And yet, he /really/ doesn't want to know.
* Bruno_Glening was babbling on, but stopped when the question was asked, his red eye
focused on Edgeworth. "Artifical enchancements of course."
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...
* Miles_Edgeworth tugs on his bindings again. "I.. umm..." /Shit./ "I don't... need anything
like that."
[Bruno_Glening] When you're mine, I'll make you very useful.
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...nng. [God, kill me now. Please?]
* Miles_Edgeworth pulls as hard as he can, but he's obviously getting weaker. He tries to
catch his breath discreetly.
* Miles_Edgeworth glares at him. "...Someone will find me before that time comes." Someone
/has/ to. Somebody cares that he's gone... right?
* Miles_Edgeworth really hates being insecure sometimes.
[Bruno_Glening] They would have to be smaaart to know where you are. *he waggled his finger,
his grin rather crocadilian.
[Miles_Edgeworth] They must have a good idea, by now.
* Miles_Edgeworth really hopes so. He's also kind of not aware of the fact that Phoenix is
forced to be on his own.
* Miles_Edgeworth might still think Phoenix is in prison.
[Bruno_Glening] I doubt it... *feels for a vein in the leg*
* Miles_Edgeworth grits his teeth and tries to move his leg. Damn restraints. "They
suspected you and Gant /long/ before I vanished."
[Bruno_Glening] Maybe so, but can they do anything... - ah yes, there. *he marks the place
before he gets up, and collects the stew.
* Bruno_Glening is going to try to force-feed Edgeworth now
* Miles_Edgeworth gets a spoon rammed in his mouth. Better than a finger at least. He makes
a surprised sound as he does, and.. well.. swallows the stew. Maybe it will kill him
faster.
[Bruno_Glening] *it was probably good stew if it was warm, but now it's cold and lumpy.
* Miles_Edgeworth makes a face. He didn't expect it to taste good, really.
[Bruno_Glening] Now eat all of it like a good little boy.
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...If you untie me, I will.
* Bruno_Glening laughs. "Do you honestly believe I will do that?"
[Miles_Edgeworth] No, but I figured I would ask anyway.
* Miles_Edgeworth puts as much hate into his words as possible.
[Bruno_Glening] So amusing... *he finishes forcing the stew down* But that defiance is so
irritating, I will have to stamp it right out of your very being. [like I shall do with
Zaberisk soon...] *he hurried moves to where he kept his noxious brews and concotions.
* Miles_Edgeworth miserably eats the stew. At least it's food. Bruno is watched... and oh
boy, he can just imagine what's going to come next.
* Bruno_Glening comes back with a little bottle, and a syringe.
* Miles_Edgeworth is developing a twitch around needles. As if he didn't hate them before.
"What do you have in store for me today?"
[Bruno_Glening] That's for you to learn afterwards... *he giggled as he set it up*
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...
* Miles_Edgeworth scowls and tugs on his bindings. Either they will eventually break or his
arms will fall off from lack of circulation. Either way, he's /got/ to get out of here.
* Bruno_Glening grabs onto the man's foot, and jabs a needle in. "I would simply love to
test your very endurance, but Gant still wants you intact. hmmhmhm..." And he inserted the
needle - rather painlessly actually.
* Miles_Edgeworth still flinches. Mainly because he can't move. And because.. well.. he has
to brace himself for whatever is going to happen /now/. His heart is pounding with anxiety.
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...How fortunate for me.
* Bruno_Glening watches Edgeworth with interest - in a few minutes the room will seem to get
quite warm.
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...
[Bruno_Glening] How do you feel?
* Miles_Edgeworth blinks. At the floor. And struggles against the bindings once more. And
tries to look entirely passive, but.. what the hell..
[Miles_Edgeworth] ..Fine.
* Miles_Edgeworth is rather uncomfortable and trying to hide it..
* Bruno_Glening walks forward, and waggles his finger.
* Miles_Edgeworth flinches away from him. And ends up.. watching his finger.
[Bruno_Glening] Liar - it would be so much better for you if you are being honest.
[Bruno_Glening] But I guess lawyers are incapable of that.
[Miles_Edgeworth] ...nnng.
[Miles_Edgeworth] Some lawyers are also less... willing to trust psychopaths with their own
pharmacies.
* Miles_Edgeworth shifts his eyes off to the right. What was that? Probably the candle
flickering, but...
* Bruno_Glening raises a hand, and smack. "You underestimate me,"
* Miles_Edgeworth is jerked to the side with the motion, and.. actually makes a bit of a
hissed noise, through clenched teeth. He's trembling a bit after, though.
[Bruno_Glening] Did I hurt that much? *giggling*
[Miles_Edgeworth] *though = too
* Miles_Edgeworth is trying so hard to not flinch, to stop flinching, and trembling, and...
his eyes dart to the left now. "Damn you.."
* Bruno_Glening giggles even louder. "Now it's doctor's order to listen to me." He is now
behind Edgeworth, and leaned closer, his voice ghosting against the man's ear
* Miles_Edgeworth shudders a bit. Doesn't help the fact that he's /sweating/ now, extremely
uncomfortable, and trying hard not to look at anything.
* Bruno_Glening stomps the ground with his shoe.
* Miles_Edgeworth .../cries out/, and trembles even more.
* Miles_Edgeworth bites hard onto his bottom lip. Dammit, he knows it's not real, but..
* Bruno_Glening does it again.
* Miles_Edgeworth cries out again, and tries to curl up, which is proven difficult with the
fact that he's tied up. "S-Stop it!"
[Bruno_Glening] And why should I?
* Miles_Edgeworth is trying to stop trembling. Because the earth isn't really shaking. And
there's not.. those voices. And the oxygen. He can breathe just fine. No need to
hyperventilate. ..dammit. "..B-Because. I.. I know.. it isn't real.." God he sounds so
terrified. If he wasn't doped out on drugs, he'd care more.
[Bruno_Glening] Oh, but it is - It is real as long as I make it real. *he brushes a finger
tip against Edgeworth's chin, and then leaned in even closer. "Quite pretty for a lawyer
thought."
* Miles_Edgeworth forces his eyes open and tries to pull his face back. He's still trembling.
[Bruno_Glening] We're just going to have to break that!
* Miles_Edgeworth is also trying to speak. Or even /breathe/ right. "...nnng."
* Bruno_Glening stomps yet again.
* Miles_Edgeworth cries out, again, and once again tenses up feebily. "S-Stop it! Leave my
father alone!"
* Bruno_Glening stops, the smile widening - oh this is going to be good!
* Miles_Edgeworth is full blown out hallucinating now. Good job, jerk.
* Bruno_Glening stomps once again, enjoying this.
* Miles_Edgeworth cries out again. Although, not as loudly as before. He's trying to breathe
now. "I have to.. I have to save him. He.. my father..."
* Bruno_Glening gently rubs Edgeworth's shoulder.
* Miles_Edgeworth whimpers a bit.. although he seems to calm down a little at that. If only
he was more aware of what was going on.
[Bruno_Glening] I'll be here to keep you sa~fe. *he changed the pitch of his voice*
* Miles_Edgeworth opens his eyes, and for a moment.. tries to focus on Bruno. But that
doesn't work too well, as everything distracts him quickly, so he squeezes his eyes shut
again.
* Miles_Edgeworth says, meekly. "You.. you can make it.. stop?"
[Bruno_Glening] I can make it stop, *He whispered right into Edgeworth's ear, and snickered*
* Miles_Edgeworth swallows nervously. His heart is pounding, and the heat isn't helping. He
really can't take anymore 'earthquakes' right now. He's obviously frazzled. "...How?"
[Bruno_Glening] Oh, there is medicine for everything.
