Oh and feedback on the time would be great, I guessed at what would be an appropriate time to post this so that it shows up on Saturday for people everywhere in the world. I posted at Saturday 5pm AEST.

If I remember correctly, Lady Elizabeth is booked for next weekend =)

Your memory is spot on. I may as well post around the same time next week, although I am 2 hours before?

I looked at this at 10 am so I'm not sure if I'm good judge or not. I tend to sleep in so my weekend chat might be a little later. xD;

Hehe, my idea of this is actually going to be included in my Beckabeth fic, so I won't say anything and just read what everyone says :) I will be able to update that fic and any other pieces more effectively from now on because I have my very own laptop. Laptop = more productiveness. :) Money well spent, if you don't include the MST (Mums Service Tax). I have so many chores to do.. xD

Hehe, it's still a few chapters away. I'm very happy with my laptop but I won't be using it with internet access until I get advice from a friend on a better anti-virus.

I run A-Squared Free and SUPERAntiSpyware on my laptop. Both are free.
They have been great for me so far.

Don't touch Norton with a twenty foot pole, and avoid McAfee as well, it's on the computers at Uni and it's such a resource hog.

A word of caution: never run more than one virus scan at a time. You can have multiple installed, and one run after the other, but don't run both at the same time... they may get upset with each other and that would be very messy!

*waves* Hello there, thanks again for all your help, I'm really grateful. And I love the topic, it is a fascinating question, really. I guess I always kind of assumed Weatherby knew Cutler's father and met the young Cutler a few times. *shrugs* I think I only wrote about this once so far, a very short little piece where Cutler remembers the time when Weatherby comforted him after his mum's death.

Also, dear god I have so much awesomeness to catch up on in the community. lol Any idea where to buy some good quality time? :)

Ebay. I can't see why it wouldn't be available on there.

I remember reading that. It was probably when I read random entries before I joined the community.

I've had it in my mind that Cutler was once a subordinate of sorts to Weatherby, seeing as how the 'I'm a Lord, now' comment seems kind of bitter. Not so much in that fact that he was mistreated in his position (I do believe Weatherby to be a wholesome man) but just about the fact that he had to work under someone at all.

I think I've only written about this past relationship once:
Stepping Stones (I compiled all my three sentence fics so it's somewhere at the bottom)

Dude! Awesome topic! There are so many things we don't know about Beckett's back story: how he knew Weatherby (or Barbosa for that matter), how he knows/believes in supernatural things, etc.

Whenever I think about the Weatherby/Beckett relationship I always bring to mind the film Land of the Blind. Dunno why as it really doesn't fit Weatherby's character to want to drown a young Cutler Beckett, but, meh.

I wonder if Cutler was a second son who wasn't supposed to inherit, but somehow did due to an unusual set of circumstances. I think it would be interesting if everyone assumed he had his older brother killed, but he actually didn't.

I wonder what Weatherby did in England before becoming Gov. I wonder if he was in Parliament and I peg him as a Tory. I could see Beckett being a Whig based on his mercantile leanings and that would put them off each other immediately.

Interesting stuff to contemplate.

Hey thanks man! *thumbs up*
There is so much we don't know. One of my theories involves him being an immortal dragon that's masquerading as a human. Or he's an Elf, and that's why he always wears his wig... underneath he's hiding and has tied against his head his elfish ears!! *giggle*

Interesting theories, nice.
