Chapter 3: Tangled
Yoochun looked up at the grand University, wondering how just three years ago, he had been so excited to come to such a prestigious school.
It was correct that the educational institute had given him a fruitful learning experience. Yet, there were some experiences that he would’ve liked to avoid.
And this was one of them.
Looking down at the two bento boxes in his hands, Yoochun grimaced.
He had contemplated over the several possibilities that would save him the trouble of actually having to personally hand the lunch over to the fearsome Kim Junsu.
One of them, which was probably the easiest, was to eat both of them himself.
But as much as he loved Jaejoong’s cooking (which he had tasted for the first time last night and was blissfully the best cooking he had ever tasted. Well, after his deceased mother’s cooking) he was sure that he would feel sick and perhaps vomit during class for overstuffing himself with two bento boxes.
So the second solution he had come up with was to throw the contents of the bento into a trashcan and bring it back to Jaejoong, saying that Junsu had eaten it.
But the problem that still existed was that if he did that, Junsu wouldn’t have a lunch to eat (not to mention that it would be a waste of good food. And Yoochun wasn’t one to waste food… especially when there were so many children starving in Africa due to poverty.)
Not that he cared whether or not Junsu got something to eat, as that was none of his business.
It was the issue of having the guy slam dunk him if he found out that Yoochun had his lunch but hadn’t given it to him.
Well, he could always buy lunch from the cafeteria, right?
But such a thought didn’t ease away the queasy feeling in his stomach.
He was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn’t realize where he was going until he heard an undeniably (and regrettably familiar) irritating high-pitched voice calling out to the origins of his worries.
“Junsu-oppa!!~ You were so cool out there!!” Suzy squealed, rushing over towards the sweaty (yet still evidently charismatic) soccer player.
Grunting in response, Junsu took the bottle of water from Suzy’s outstretched hands and drained the contents in one long gulp, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
“Oppa! Here, use this towel to wipe your face!” Suzy said excitedly, exchanging the empty bottle of water in Junsu’s hands with a small towel and smiling happily as she looked down at the rim of the bottle opening, which had just touched the soccer player’s lips.
She was, without a doubt, probably thinking about drinking from the bottle as well (later on) so that she it would count as an indirect kiss (which I would probably do if I ever got the chance… hell, who am I kidding? I’d probably jump the guy if I ever met him in real life! *cough*)
OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD!!!! Darn stupid legs! Why did you have to lead me to the soccer field, of all places? Now I’ll HAVE to hand the bento box to him…. And in front of all these people too! Yoochun thought to himself, immediately moving backwards and sticking to the school walls so that no one would see him (a ninja-ish skill he had perfected after several years of practice).
Scrunching his nose as he looked at the frilly towel in his hands, Junsu tossed it away and resorted to using the front of his soccer jersey to wipe his sweaty forehead instead, giving his fangirls (and fanboys) a yummy glimpse of the skin that lay beneath.
Now, I’m pretty sure most of you have seen soccer or basketball players do such a thing and you’d have to admit that that is most definitely the sexiest thing on the face of this planet (and for those of you who DO know some soccer, I’d say that Kim Junsu (or Jung Yunho) is kinda like the Korean equivalent of Christiano Ronaldo… Oh yeah baby… you know what I’m talking about… *licks lips*)
That’s why Yoochun didn’t realize his mouth was hanging open (complete with a trail of drool coming down the side of his lip) until Junsu looked up and their eyes met, snapping him back to reality.
Ohhhhh shit!!! Yoochun screamed on the inside as Junsu furrowed his eyebrows and started to jog over to where he was hiding. What should I do??!!! What should I do?!!
As he flailed on the inside like an anime character, Junsu arrived by his side, slightly breathless as he hissed, “Yah! What the hell are you doing here? Are you trying to fuck me over or something?!”
Yoochun gulped, backing further into the wall as a small gust of wind blew Junsu’s sweat, masculinity and most importantly, his sex appeal into his face (yes, sex appeal and masculinity are scents… didn’t know that? Well then, you’re all missing out my dear virgin readers…)
Although he should’ve ran the hell outta there, which his pounding heart was desperately trying to tell him to do, his feet wouldn’t let him.
"Are you trying to fuck me over or something?"
It was as if time had stopped and the only thing that Yoochun could hear was Junsu’s voice, crystal clear within his mind.
No, not fucking you over… but under… the sheets…
“Yah! Did you hear what I just said? Why are you just staring at me like that?!” Junsu said between clenched teeth, raising his voice a little louder this time.
Gulping, Yoochun broke away from his sexual fantasies and nodded. “Y-Yes…”
“Yes?! What do you mean by yes?! You mean you really did want to fuck me over?! Huh?!” Junsu snarled, his eyes ablaze with anger.
“N-NO!!” Yoochun yelled out in protest and was immediately silenced by Junsu’s hand, pushing him even further up against the cold school walls.
“Shhh!!” Junsu hushed, his eyes quickly darting towards the soccer field to see if anyone had heard or saw them together.
When he was sure that no one was looking, Junsu uncovered Yoochun’s mouth, allowing the poor guy to regain his well-needed oxygen.
Raking a hand through his damp hair while putting the other on his delicious waist, Junsu shook his head and let out a huge sigh.
“Jeez… You sure are one troublesome guy…”
Yoochun remained silent, not sure as to how he was supposed to respond to such a claim and the only thought that was running through his mind was: “OMG KIM JUNSU JUST TOUCHED MY MOUTH WITH HIS HANDS!! I can still taste the saltiness of his sweet sweat on my lips!! Oh thank the Heavens! Even though my heart is pounding so hard that I think I’m gonna die right now, it’s totally worth it because HE JUST TOUCHED MY. LIPS. WITH. HIS. HANDS!!!”
Just the thought alone made Yoochun want to prance down the street in a tutu and throw rose petals in the air like a flower girl, rainbows and butterflies floating around in his happy-filled mind.
Finding the silence a bit awkward, Junsu looked up at Yoochun and raised an eyebrow in confusion at the weird expression pasted on the four-eyed boy’s face.
“Uh… are you okay?” He asked cautiously, wondering if he should call the Mental Institute because the guy in front of him sure looked like he needed to go visit one.
“Oh! Um, y-yes… very… very okay!” Yoochun said hurriedly, pushing away his happy thoughts and feeling like his neck would snap if he continued to nod so fervently.
Not looking so convinced, Junsu decided to ignore whatever was going through the skinnier man’s mind and said, “So, what brings you here? Since you claim that you aren’t here to screw me over and you don’t seem like the type to watch guys play soccer, there must be another reason why you’re here instead of studying in a library or something.”
Yoochun looked up in surprise, slightly startled by Junsu’s words.
“How did you…?”
“How did I wha-“ Junsu stopped mid-sentence, realizing what he had just said.
An awkward tension hung in the air as they looked at each other in silence.
After what seemed like a century, Junsu cleared his throat and said, “Well, anyone with a brain could guess something along the lines of that… I mean, look at you! You’re clearly a nerdy loner… so… yeah…”
“Oh… I-I see…” Yoochun muttered, unable to stop his heart from sinking a little as his hopes were crushed.
Seeing Yoochun’s expression, Junsu’s eyes widened as he said, “Wh-what?! Did you think that I’d secretly observe you and know what you do everyday?!”
Lowering his head, Yoochun looked down at his feet, which were turned slightly inwards shyly (and oh-so-cutely).
“N-no… I-I know you would never do such a thing…”
Scoffing, Junsu said, “Well, at least you’re smart enough to be self-conscious about your unworthiness…”
Looking down at Yoochun, Junsu finally noticed the familiar bento box in the man’s hands and said, “Hey, isn’t that Jae’s…?”
Realizing belatedly the reason why he was there in the first place, Yoochun quickly shoved one of the bento boxes into Junsu’s hands and said, “Y-yeah. Your hyung told me to give this to you because you left the house before he could make it… Anyways, I promise to never appear anywhere near you ever again. Sorry to have caused you the inconvenience!”
Squeezing his eyes shut and not waiting for Junsu to respond, for he feared the man would say something that would crush his delicate little heart some more, Yoochun ran as fast as he could, forgetting about the second half of the message that he was supposed to tell Junsu.
It wasn’t until his third period of classes, Biochemistry, that he remembered.
Oh shit oh shit oh shit!! Ergh! What am I gonna do? It’ll be just Junsu and me tonight. At home. Together… Junsu and me. Me and Junsu. Together. Alone. AHHHH!!!! Yoochun thought to himself, putting both his hands through his orange hair and tugging at the strands in agony.
“Uh… you okay there, Chun?” A deep familiar voice came from beside Yoochun.
Looking up into the caring chocolate brown eyes of his lab partner, Yoochun felt like crying.
“Min…”
“Dude! What the…”
Hurriedly, the rather handsome (and tall) young man reached into his pocket, withdrawing a packet of tissues and taking one out to wipe Yoochun’s running nose and eyes.
Taking it from the man’s hands, Yoochun proceeded to blowing his nose (rather loudly I dare say) into the tissue and sniffling slightly.
“Changmin-ah… I… He… don’t wanna… so mean… but why… so sexy? His salty hands… but cruel words… tonight… alone… I don’t know…” Yoochun said in between sobs.
Furrowing his eyebrows in confusion, Changmin put one hand up to stop Yoochun’s blabbering.
“Wait. You aren’t making any sense at all. Tell me, starting from the beginning, just what has been bothering you. I promise to not interrupt, so just talk slowly.”
“Min…” Yoochun said, his glassy eyes full of gratitude (like that little onion head that you see people use on Messenger… I’m sure you guys know what I’m talking about… No? Well, no worries, I have an image reference right here:
(because I’m THAT good… oh yeah…) →
Flinching slightly at the (disgusting) image, Changmin said, “Thank me later. Just wipe all that nasty mucus off of your face first.”
“I see… so you’re in a very sticky situation right now, eh?” Changmin said as he licked the honey from his fingers and reached for another graham cracker smothered in honey.
Yoochun nodded, feeling like a heavy boulder had just been taken off of his shoulders.
After the little sob feast “incident” at school, they had gone to Changmin’s house and Yoochun had told him everything that had happened so far (leaving out the part that he had a tremendous crush on Junsu and fantasized about him all the time, of course).
Although he knew that Junsu had warned him not to tell anyone about their little “secret”, Changmin was Yoochun’s friend (or you can say, acquaintance, since they weren’t really that close. Just one of those people you kind of knew and said hi once in a while during high school and got to know a little bit more in University because they were the most familiarest person around. You know what I mean.)
“But you shouldn’t worry too much… I mean, he’s a guy, you’re a guy… it’s not like anything could happen between the two of you… if you were a girl then maybe that would be more troublesome… but neither of you are.” Changmin said nonchalantly, downing a carton of homo milk and wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
“Y-yeah… I g-guess so…” Yoochun said, looking down at the table and blushing slightly.
Because he knew it was possible for something to happen between two guys… he knew all too well…
But he wasn’t going to admit that to Changmin.
Unfortunately, the expression on Yoochun’s face was a little too honest, causing Changmin to raise an eyebrow and smile wickedly.
Scooting over so that they were sitting shoulder to shoulder, Changmin said in a low teasing voice, “Unless you swing that way?”
Eyes widening at the claim, Yoochun whipped his head so fast that you could hear his neck crack and stuttered, “O-of course not!!”
Chuckling, Changmin leaned backwards with his hands behind his head and smiled at Yoochun, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
“I was just joking. You don’t have to be so serious about it… Unless you’re feeling guilty.” He said with a wink, making Yoochun blush furiously and look down at the floor.
“I-I just didn't want you to misunderstand, th-that’s all…”
“Oh really? But what if I want to misunderstand?” Changmin said huskily, his hot breath suddenly only an inch away from Yoochun’s face.
“St-stop joking around!” Yoochun yelled out, pushing the laughing Changmin away from him and pouting.
“Okay okay…” Changmin said, putting both hands up in a surrender gesture. “But seriously, what are you going to do now?”
Hugging his legs against his chest, Yoochun said quietly, “I don’t know… but I don’t want to go home tonight.”
“Oh really?” Changmin said in a highly amused voice.
“Yeah…”
Because I don’t know what will happen if we’re actually alone together tonight. I… I might be unable to refrain from jumping him or something! Yoochun thought to himself, then shaking his head at the perverted thought.
He was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn’t notice that Changmin had crawled over to where he was sitting and was right in front of him until he sensed a shadow hovering over him.
Looking up into Changmin’s shining eyes, Yoochun furrowed his eyes in confusion.
“Chun… do you realize what you have just said?” Changmin said in a low voice, an expression that Yoochun knew the man only had on when he found a certain type of food that he absolutely loved.
“I don’t know… but I don’t want to go home tonight.”
Yoochun gasped as he realized belatedly the second meaning behind the words he had just uttered so innocently a couple of minutes ago.
“Wait-“
“I never knew you felt that way… Well, I’ll make sure that you’ll have an exciting night tonight then… one that you’ll never forget…” Changmin said huskily as he licked his lips in anticipation, his eyes full of hunger.
And Yoochun was the main course.
