Chapter 1: First Impressions
Being an all boys elite private school in which the students would go from preschool, to elementary school and then straight to high school, everyone knew everyone else and nothing special ever really happened except for petty gossip.
That’s why it was a big deal when new students were accepted into the school, because it rarely ever happened and fresh new gossip could be created.
When Jaejoong, Junsu and Changmin arrived at the main office, a crowd of boys were already swarming around, each one of them looking over one another’s shoulders to get a good glimpse of the new students.
“So, has anyone seen what they look like?” Jaejoong casually asked a nearby young boy with brown and blond streaked hair.
“No, not yet but-Oh! It’s the Kim Princesses! Um, anneyeong!” The young man shouted out after turning his head and realizing belatedly who he was talking to.
Immediately bowing in a flustered manner, the young man grabbed onto his friend’s arm and shook it to get his attention.
“Hyung… hyung!”
“Yah, Jonghyun, what the-Oh! Miahne, your Highness, we didn’t realize... YA! Everyone, make room for the Princesses!” Kangin shouted out, making everyone turn their heads around and immediately bow, walking backwards hurriedly in an effort to make way for the three young men to pass by.
Junsu giggled adorably while Jaejoong held his head up high and Changmin loomed over them from behind as they made his way through the dispersed crowd.
Although at first Jaejoong had been quite annoyed by the nickname given to him and Junsu, he soon found that having such an honorable status (or to be more exact, a beautiful face and figure) had its benefits.
Since their school was an all-boys school, and the male population was at an age in which their hormonal estrogen was at its strongest, those who possessed feminine features were admired and often chosen as the school’s
‘Princess’ representatives.
These certain ‘Princesses’ were voted (and worshipped) by the students, contributing to the school by acting as the Student Council and taking care of the school events, as well as watching over the whole student body in general.
The Council consisted of six members (Junsu and Jaejoong being two of the six), and they rarely changed, unless something drastic occurred, such as cheating on a test, which is regarded as a disgrace to the Council and usually resulted in getting kicked off of the Council, or a certain student suddenly shoots up in popularity (either due to sports, academics or appearances) and hence, are promoted into the Council.
Although most schools have impressive student councils, the one at Soul Academy (yes, not Seoul but Soul) holds immense power and popularity; to an extent that they even had a fan club, (which wasn’t so secretive) and an online fan site.
Even though Jaejoong clearly knew that the popularity he possessed now was set in stone, he still couldn’t help but feel a little uneasy at the new students who, judging by the uproar (and Junsu’s enthusiastic reaction) must really be something.
As they approached the office, Jaejoong could see the backs of two tall and slim figures, dressed all in black, through the glass windows.
The image was a combination of Men in Black, fused with an aura of two almighty Gods.
Jaejoong stared at the one with the mocha brown hair, his gaze practically burning a hole into the guy’s back, willing him to turn around so that they could get a better look at his face.
But, much to his disappointment, the man only turned slightly to his right after receiving his timetable and walked off, giving Jaejoong a millisecond glimpse of his side profile.
However, the other man, the one with the raven black hair, didn’t turn quite as quickly.
In fact, it was as if he knew (and he probably did) that there were a lot of people looking at him, deliberately tilting his head to the side as he whipped off his shades and shooting them a cocky smile.
Although cockiness was the number one thing that pissed Jaejoong off the most, he couldn’t help but take note of the raven-haired man’s beautiful face, his dark locks falling into his femininely long eyelashes, while the rest was tucked safely behind one ear.
And that smile… oh, that smile… complete with pearly white teeth and adorable dimples, he was most definitely someone who would be termed as “gorgeous”, and he knew it too.
“Omo! JaeJae!!~ Th-that… did you see that? He… do you think he was smiling at us? Wah~ It was sooo hot!~” Junsu squealed from beside him, clutching onto Jaejoong’s arm and shaking it back and forth with excitement.
“Su…” Jaejoong warned, raising an eyebrow in disapproval at Junsu’s reaction.
“Right… sorry…” Junsu said, looking down at the floor in embarrassment and fiddling with the hems of his uniform.
“But I gotta hand it to them, they sure know how to make a scene… and only two word comes to mind when you look at them… damn fine…” Changmin said from Jaejoong’s left hand side as he observed the two men who were walking down the hall, their tall lean figures attracting the attention of basically every single student passing by.
“I know, right?” Junsu gushed, looking up and finding his enthusiasm again.
“Of course, not as fine as our Jae and Su…” Changmin added, giving Junsu a small wink.
Junsu giggled at the compliment and nodded his head in agreement, although his eyes, which were still glued onto the dark haired beauty’s back, said otherwise.
“Well, I guess we’ll have to find out if they really fit that description…” Jaejoong said testily with both arms crossed over his chest, raising an eyebrow as the mocha haired man looked up at the door number and entered a familiar classroom. “And it seems like I’ll be getting my chance VERY soon…”

Jaejoong walked into the room with a slight roll of his hips, making sure that his face was expressionless but still held a slight arc of those finely plucked eyebrows to add onto the sexy image he was striving for.
He had double-checked his appearance in the washroom, sprayed some fresh body mist and practiced a few expressions while looking in the mirror before going to class.
Although he knew that he looked absolutely stunning, no matter the time or day, he still wanted to be at his best in front of his so-called ‘handsome new classmate from Romania’ and show him who was boss around here.
With just one glance, Jaejoong’s eyes located the new student, as his tall (and rather attractive) stature stood out above the rest.
Taking his time to sashay towards the mocha haired man, whom Jaejoong noticed still had those annoying sunglasses on; he stopped in front of the new student’s table.
When the man didn’t look up, as most normal people would, Jaejoong made an obvious point of placing one hand on the table and leaning forward so that he was breathing distance from the new student.
A smile spread on Jaejoong’s face when he saw the new student evidently stiffen at their close proximity.
No one can resist my presence… Jaejoong thought to himself, smirking slightly on the inside. And this guy is no exception…
“Hello there. You must be the new student. My name is Kim Jaejoong and I’m the head of the Student Council at this school. If you have any questions or need any sort of help with anything, feel free to ask me…” Jaejoong said in an oh-so-sexy-breathless way that he knew made the boys at his school weak in the knees.
But instead of the expected reaction that Jaejoong had in mind, the man continued to stare ahead and didn’t answer,
or so much as look up at him, causing Jaejoong’s face to turn slightly red in embarrassment.
Okay, he probably didn't hear me because he’s a little deaf. No worries, I’ll try again. Jaejoong thought to himself, biting down on his lower lip to stop himself from cursing, because he knew everyone in the class was watching him.
He was Kim Jaejoong, number one Queen of the school for four consecutive years, after all.
And no one, especially not this newbie, was going to ruin his hard-earned reputation just like that.
So, clearing his throat, Jaejoong tried again, making sure that his voice was louder and clearer this time.
“So, I heard that you are from Romania. That’s a rather unique place to come from… and I’m sure that your name is equally unique…”
The class was silent as they all held their breath, waiting for the new student’s reply, their ears practically straining for any sort of utterance from him.
But this was all done in vain, because again, he didn’t respond.
Neither did he move an inch from his rigid sitting position, eyes still staring ahead at the blackboard with mild interest.
Or rather, it seemed like he didn’t acknowledge Jaejoong’s existence at all.
Jaejoong could practically feel the anger boiling within him, making his whole body shake slightly at the rude treatment he was getting.
“YA! You-!!”
Unfortunately, the teacher chose that exact moment to enter the classroom, right before Jaejoong could explode, which was probably for the best, as things would get quite messy if Jaejoong were to start bitching.
“Kim Jaejoong. Please go to your seat.” The teacher said sternly when everyone was seated and Jaejoong remained hovering over the new student with his fists clenched by his sides.
However, Jaejoong continued to stand there, glaring at the new student, as if he were a statue.
Frowning at the unexpected behavior from his top student, the teacher cleared his throat for a second time and called Jaejoong’s name again, this time, in a warning tone that meant he would have to send the blond to the office if he didn't obey his orders.
Letting out a breath of frustration, Jaejoong finally unglued himself from the spot and sat in his desk (which was, as coincidences would have it, situated right behind the mocha-haired man), glaring with all his might at the new student’s back.
Upon seeing Jaejoong, as well as the whole class, settle down, the teacher adjusted the glasses on his face and said, “Alright, well, I’m sure most of you have probably noticed, we have a new student in the class today. He’s from Romania, but his family background is Korean and he is here to learn about the Korean culture. So everyone, please make him feel welcome. Jung Yunho, would you like to tell us a little bit about yourself?”
All eyes were on Yunho, waiting for his response.
But again, he remained silent.
After a minute had passed and Yunho showed no evident sign of responding, the teacher cleared his throat and adjusted his glasses again.
“Okay. Well, I guess we should continue with class then… Everyone, please turn to page…”

After a torturing hour of history, which Jaejoong didn’t hear a word of because he was too busy burning a hole into Yunho’s scrumptious back, the bell rang.
The sound of chairs scraping against the floor filled the room, accompanied by the chattering of students’ voices, drowning out the teacher’s voice and spreading throughout the school.
Jaejoong’s chin slipped from his hand, eyes blinking slightly as he realized that he was staring at thin air.
“Wha-“ Jaejoong gaped, because he swore that Yunho was just there a minute ago.
Looking up, his large feminine eyes widened even further upon seeing Yunho’s retreating back already disappearing around the classroom door.
Getting out of his seat before you could say ‘Bambayah’, Jaejoong ran out of the classroom, pumping his rather thin legs as fast as he could to catch up to Yunho, who was already halfway down the hallway.
But no matter how fast he ran he still couldn’t quite close the distance between them (and it was all thanks to Yunho’s damn fine long-ass legs.)
So instead, he yelled out Yunho’s name, not caring about the students who stared at him when he did so because the thing that mattered most right now was his dignity and pride, both of which he had to get back by settling the score at hand.
“JUNG YUNHO!! YA!!”
But it was useless, because Yunho kept walking as if he hadn’t heard anything, which infuriated Jaejoong that much more.
Luck was on Jaejoong’s side, however, as they reached the end of the corridor, in which Yunho was forced to stop for a minute to push the button of the school elevator.
“Ya! You-“ Jaejoong yelled out, his face burning with anger as he grabbed onto the surprisingly muscular man’s arm and turning him around.
He stopped short as Yunho whipped off his sunglasses, unable to stop his jaw from dropping as he stared into the man’s mesmerizing golden orbs, amazed by the light blue hew that seemed to be flickering around the corners of his eyes, like fire.
A low growl radiated from the bottom of Yunho’s throat; gradually making it’s way up and distorting his perfectly sculpted face.
“What. Do. You. Want. From. Me.” He said between clenched teeth, each word coming out sharp and unbelievably deep, his muscles tightening and flexing underneath Jaejoong’s fingers.
Although the menacing look on Yunho’s face was somewhat frightening, Jaejoong found himself gulping for quite a different reason.
Oh my god… his voice is so damn sexy…
“Well?” Yunho growled, clearly annoyed by Jaejoong’s silent response, his wonderfully thick eyebrows furrowing with impatience.
Snapping back to reality and realizing how stupid he must’ve looked, Jaejoong cleared his throat before saying, “I… I want you to apologize!”
He watched as Yunho’s face softened slightly, the anger transforming into confusion, which Jaejoong found unbelievably cute for some odd reason.
“Apologize? For what?”
“F-for being so rude to me! For disgracing me in front of everyone!!” Jaejoong said loudly, feeling somewhat childish as he heard his own voice and processed the words in his head.
But he stood his ground, knowing that there was no turning back now, especially when he had just spoken words that he couldn’t take back.
Not to mention the fact that he couldn’t move, so even if he wanted to run, it was physically impossible because his body seemed to have shut down on him all of a sudden.
“Disgracing? What do you mean? When did I ever do such a thing?”
Jaejoong scoffed at the response, unable to believe his own ears.
“Ya, don’t tell me you have Alzheimer or something!!”
When the confusion ceased to disappear from Yunho’s face, Jaejoong felt like screaming and tearing his hair out of his head.
But he knew that such an act was delirious and stupid (not to mention, an image down grader), so he took a deep breath to calm himself down and pointed a finger towards the classroom instead.
“Back there, in the classroom, when I tried to talk to you, you completely ignored me! What the hell was up with that?”
Jaejoong watched as Yunho’s face returned back to its cool and calm state, all emotions wiped clean as if a wall barrier had just been placed between the heated argument that took place just moments ago.
Shaking away Jaejoong’s hand, which still clung onto him arm; Yunho put his sunglasses back on, his lips pursed into a thin line.
“It was nothing.” He replied simply.
“Wha-WHAT?!” Jaejoong yelled out in bewilderment. “Ya, what do you mean that was nothing? I was trying to be polite, welcoming you to our school, and you return the favor by ignoring me like some… some ignorant asshole?!”
Although Yunho still had his sunglasses perched suavely on the bridge of his perfectly chiseled nose, Jaejoong could still feel the piercing stare that was directed towards him as Yunho looked down at him, sending a chill up and down his spine.
“You will do me a favor by not trying to get too close to me.”
With that said, Yunho turned around and entered the elevator, leaving Jaejoong to stand there alone, shaking in disbelief and anger.
