Change of plans
Well, that's what happened with class today and it's gonna happen again this summer. Class was cancelled (yeah?... but then again, I don't enjoy getting up at 8am for nothing...) so now I'm sitting here in the lab typing about the change in summer plans.
So originally, I was gonna come home for summer. I wanted to get a job and watch all the summer blockbusters with the gang and life would be like it used to be. But finding that job was a lot easier said than done.
Pile that up with the fact that yes, I am in school now and instead of getting senioritis and slacking like I thought I would, I only got a very mild case of it and am actually really liking school at this point. Well, to a certain extent, I've always liked school, but now that it's about to end, I realize that I don't want it to.
Anyways, I've got my CPA to study for, which is why I've decided to stay in LA for the summer. Granted, UCLA alone does not have enough accounting classes for me to take here and be able to qualify for the exam (24 semester units/ 36 quarter units) so I'll have to probably go home after summer. But I realized that UCLA's summer school just fit better with my schedule. Plus, I'll be done by August, so I can come back and I could still go to either city or state. I've been told Skyline has accounting classes too and I've heard that San Mateo has good classes on it as well, so those can work too. I'll just have to look into their classes and see which best fit with my schedule.
Guess I'm kinda glad. I have the summer months to relax and be down here and actually have a sunny summer. Lots of fun in the sun planned, that's for sure! Mmmm, I can't wait for those long, lazy days at the beach. Just wish I coud find a movie pal for me to catch those summer blockbusters with... We'll see how that goes.
