What a fun time!

Well...for four days I spent time at the Bledsoe family ranch and it was so great. I can't think of a nicer family to have had my summer get away with. There was so much to do there, so I'll give you a brief description of my time there....

Obviously I was visiting my good friend Helyna. It was a spur of the moment decision, but i thought it would be something new and different. Plus...Helyna was sort of blue, so I thought my visit could take her mind off of things.

The first day I ended up going to a Wedding with her and a reception afterwards. It was interesting, because this small town girl was marrying a guy from Africa....so there were a lot of people dressed in traditional clothes and a camera was there to transmit the celebration back to Africa for the family members who weren't able to join. It was fun! We also drove by a freaky haunted house that night....where helyna apparently saw eyes in the tree and a freaky green glow.

Then another day we went horseback riding, which was so great! I hadn't been in such a long time. While we were on the horses we taped helyna's two brothers, James and William, and also their friend Alex riding steer. They were essentially being bucked off of these things. Alex was incredibly good...he's gonna be in an actual contest for it. Later that night, we decided to go camping on their property. There were sooooo many shooting stars. Then there was the idea to go to a deserted house about a mile. Well...her brother William and I were smart and took the truck instead of walking. We thought it would be funny to run away from the house and drive off, so they wouldn't be able to ride back. Well....the other three never ended up coming back to the campsite, so needless to say...I spent most of the night awake waiting for them.

The next day Helyna and I painted a gate, which actually took quite a bit of time. I seriously had paint ALL over me. Helyna had to put globs of Peanut butter in my hair so it'd come out....lol...it looked like poop.

Those are just some of the highlights I encountered the last few days. Aside from the 20 mosquito bites I have...literally...I counted them and castration of the baby calves....I'd have to say I had a really aweseome time. Everyone was so great and I loved being welcomed into their home.

Now I have moving back into Tri-Delt and Pre-Rush to look forward to....BLAH
