So yesterday was my 3rd official day housesitting. Nothing too exciting happened. I just hung around the house, did pilates, showered, had lunch, played on the internet...etc, etc, etc. My daddy picked me up at about 4:30 and we went out to dinner at Cromwell Diner. I have to get used to that place again since me and my daddy tend to go to dinner there every Friday when I'm in school. Its kind of a tradition...a nice tradition...I just wish they had better food...lol. Melissa picked me up at about 6:40 and we headed over to the church for a WYD meeting. We gave a quick little presentation on what we gained from going to WYD in 2002 and offered up a few tips and important things that had stuck in our mind from our previous trip. We then presented our fundraising proposal and everyone thought it was a really good idea...YAY!!! However they did agree that the price we were planning on charging was way too cheap and that it probably made more sense to hold the camp at night from 6-9 instead of all day long. We both agreed that this was a smart idea since then we could work during the day and still hold the camp at night. It seems like everything seems to be on track for the trip and I am sooooo beyond excited. Seeing the Pope in Germany...this is gonna be a once in a lifetime experience. Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that Melissa will aactually be able to go...I don't know what I would do without her there and if its up to me, she will be there.
So I have the music blaring so loud right now the floor is shaking. I am so in love with this living on my own thing, you have no idea. I'm beginning to have second thoughts about my plan to live with (and mooch off) my dad until I get married. And amazingly I've only gotten spooked being here alone once so far. Last night when Melissa dropped me off and I came in, the door to the porch was open. Of course I freaked out and made her walk around the entire house with me and turn on all the lights and look in all the closets and make sure no one had broken in and was hiding out. But the more I think about it, I was in a rush when my dad came to pick me up yesterday afternoon and I might have neglected to close the door before I left. Oh well. Thats been the only bad thing about being here on my own. Other then that, I'm loving it!!!
Tonight is girl's night and I'm cooking. I just got done making cream cheese swirl brownies for dessert and they smell soooo yummy. I actually figured out how to work my sister's new oven, too, which is impressive. I'm heading to the mall with my Tina-Bina in a few minutes and then we're coming back here to make dinner. Melissa and Holly should be here between 5:30-6:00. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and the food will be scrumptious (I'm keeping my fingers crossed).
