Presidential food for thought:
If Republican Michael Steele ran for president, would he get the same response as President Obama is receiving?
I wonder this because I voted for Obama on the basis of his political platforms - and because of Joe Biden - and not on the basis of anything else. I don't have a partisan voting record (O'Malley, go screw yourself) and I'm a card-carrying Democrat.
So, with that in mind, I wonder if a black/African-American Republican could represent that the Black/African-American community like Obama does. I would venture not.
