Scarecrow
Tonight was GREAT! I, for once, was able to be MYSELF! I’m normally hidden under that “prep” mask because of my dad. He doesn’t like the whole idea of me going to rock concerts and stuff. He thinks I will be tempted into doing drugs or drinking alcohol. Yes, that IS true… but it DOESN’T mean that I will accept it. It’s very EASY for me to say no! I went to a house show for the first time tonight WHERE I was able to be myself. First off, Laura and I went “Trick or Treating” and I went as Avril Lavigne (one, because people say I look like her… and two, it would give me a good excuse to wear my chains and the dark makeup that I like to wear which my dad strongly opposes) and Laura went as a vampire :[ hehehehe. Anyway… I was told she was going to a house show tonight and I told her that I have never been and would really like to go so she let me tag along! I asked my dad if I could go and he was cool with it and it was Halloween so he let me go like I was with all the chains and stuffs on and I got to dress the way I would have normally WANTED to dress.. Instead of that geeky, happy-go-lucky preppy girl look…BLAH! I felt comfortable. I for once felt like I was where I belonged. I HAD SO MUCH FUN. I think that was “the most fun I’ve had in YEARS!” just because I got to be myself for once! I met quite a few friends there! I met Robbie Long whom I know from school and that was pretty cool. He introduced me to lots off people. He’s cool, he’s real nice! I also met some guys that I had met a while back at another party. One didn’t remember me because he was drunk.. and the other was drunk too but he remembered me.. VERY surprising. Anyway… I had a ton of fun there.. and I hope to go to another house show again. I just hope that the next time it doesn’t get busted up like it did tonight. We were in the middle of one of the songs of the last band. That band was just starting out too… I was ready to get in another mosh pit… but oh well… we had to leave. Well now Laura is staying the night with me and I'm writing in here obviously. But yeh I have to go now .. LATER!
