Character Background:
Road is one of the Noah Clan, humans with superhuman capabilities, who claim to be direct descendants of Noah and supporters of the Millennium Earl. In spite of looking like the youngest of the clan, she’s the oldest, as her Noah was the first to awaken, and as her name matches the original name of the memory she inherited, it seems to be implied that during the time she has been a Noah her previous human personality has been completely consumed by the memory of Noah’s Dreams (either that, or she has never reincarnated, but I will leave this vague until it’s confirmed either way).
Road first meets the Exorcists in ‘Rewinding Town’, where they are trying to help Miranda gain control of her Innocence. She uses the Akuma to distract Allen and Lenalee so that she can kidnap Miranda, and uses Miranda’s blood to write taunts on her wall, “Fuck you, Exorcists”. When Allen is knocked out by the Akuma, he awakens in one of Road’s dreamscapes, to find Lenalee comatose and dressed as a doll, Miranda nailed to her clock through her hands, and his own cursed arm nailed to the wall.
Allen can’t believe that a human is helping the Millennium Earl, but Road says that humans make weapons to kill other humans, so why shouldn’t a human be using Akuma? She tells him that she’s of the Noah clan, the ‘true apostles’ chosen by God, given the Akuma to wipe out all the weak humans in the world, i.e. anyone who’s not a Noah.
When Allen yells that that’s not God, but the Devil, she just calmly answers that either way, it’s all the same to her.
Even though Allen barely manages to escape his first encounter with her, he runs into her again on Noah’s Ark, where she and Tyki play a game with the Exorcists, telling them that if they reach Road’s door at the top of the building in time, they’ll be able to escape before the Ark collapses into nothing.
When Allen, Lenalee and Lavi fight their way to the last room, Road and Tyki are ready and waiting, and Road surprises everyone by greeting Allen with a not-very-welcome kiss. While Tyki takes on Allen, Road traps Lavi inside a ‘dream’. After Allen exorcises the Noah from Tyki, Road becomes very very upset, quite calmly for her, which only makes her more deadly. She says that one of Allen’s friends will be punished for what Allen did to Tyki, and sets out to destroy Lavi’s ‘heart’, which is still trapped inside the dream she placed him in.
Lavi, however, manages to fight Road’s illusions and at the last minutes realizes who she is hiding as within his dream. He stabs her ‘true self’ and she slowly disintegrates and dies.
Shortly afterwards, we see her with Lulubell, talking to the Earl. Permanent death isn’t all that permanent when it comes to Road.
Later on, Road attends a party with Cyril and together they watch Tyki charm the nobles attending the ball. Later still, the Earl pays a visit to her ‘human’ family. Tyki’s brother Cyril and his invalid wife are her adoptive parents (Tyki implies that the only reason Cyril got married is because he wanted to adopt Road since he finds her so cute). The Earl, Cyril, Tyki and Road meet to further the Earl’s plot for the world, and Road appears to be the only one of her siblings who’s privy to the story of the fourteenth Noah, who had tried to kill the Millennium Earl.
The next time Road is seen is when the Noah clan gathers again to start the next phase of the war. Everyone’s Awakened besides Skin’s replacement. Road is apparently the only Noah who didn’t reincarnate during the past 35 years/after the 14th Noah turned traitor, and she tells the newest Noah, Wisely, that she’s looked the same way all that time. While the other Noah are sent off to fight the Exorcists around the world, Road and the Earl go to attack the Black Order’s North American headquarters, the Earl initially in his human form before resuming his usual appearance while Road appears to be a (very lively) ragdoll.
With Wisely and Cyril’s help they take everyone in the HQ hostage, drawing them into the room where Alma Karma is kept - a second generation Exorcist that the Black Order was secretly using to create third generation half-akuma Exorcists. They’re waiting for Tyki to lure Allen Walker back there as well using the Ark - this is the point Road will be taken from.
Abilites/Special Powers:
Noah of Dreams - Road’s unique ability is to create her own dimensions and realities, and use them to mess with people’s heads. She can draw out people’s worst fears or memories and trap them inside never-ending nightmares until they break. She’s also shown herself capable of telekinesis and telepathy, and to create what appear to be ‘solid illusions’. In fact, the body she’s usually seen in is often an illusion, with her true form kept safe from harm inside her dream world (she also tells one of the other Noah that’s she’s looked the exact same way for the past 35 years). Lero once states that out of all the Noah, Road’s power scares him the most
Like the other Noah, Road can sense Innocence and is capable of destroying it. She can regenerate almost immediately from severe wounds, and either doesn’t feel pain or pays no attention to it, while also being very strong. If any of the other Noah are killed, the Noah inside her cries in spite of herself, and even though she appeared to be killed by Lavi, apparently even finding her true form inside her dream and killing that wasn’t enough as she was seen not long afterwards without a scratch on her.
As the First Child, Road is also the only Noah with the ability to program Noah’s Ark. She’s also the only one who’s able to travel through dimensions without using the Ark, using a door she can summon to take her immediately to any place she likes.

Road draped herself over Wisely’s leg as the younger Noah sat cross-legged on the floor, her small cloth legs kicking in the air while his hand rested on her back to make sure she didn’t fall off. This form was so much fun, it was much easier to get her siblings to carry her or not to make a fuss when she climbed all over them. And it was cute too. Maybe not as cute as she usually looked, but at least this way she didn’t look human.
The fear in the room was palpable, coming off the Black Order’s staff in waves. She didn’t even need to poke around in their heads to sense their thoughts - the Millennium Earl and the Noah were amongst them, they were going to die. As if there had ever been any question of it. The black haired Exorcist at their feet was too damaged and in shock to put up any fight, and soon, very soon Tyki would bring Allen here, and then everything would really begin.
She couldn’t wait, climbing up onto Wisely’s head for a better view of the proceedings, tiny doll arms balancing her there. Ooh, this was so exciting, the final stage of everything they’d been working towards for the past 7,000 years. She grinned at the Earl’s dramatics, sharing a look with Wisely that said they hadn’t expected anything else from the head of the family. But it was good to see him enjoying himself so much, they deserved this after everything this stupid world had put them all through.
Soon Allen would be here, and they’d show him exactly what his precious Black Order had been up to.
And then she felt the beginnings of a change in the room - the Ark - and…then she was falling, waking up somewhere else. Gone were the sterile white room, her siblings, the Earl.
“What…”
It was the matter of an instant to be back in her usual form, a small gray-skinned girl sitting on the ground. Not that she felt threatened, but this was simply not supposed to happen. Not when they were so close to their goal! Her features twisted into a scowl, but a tantrum would be pointless without anyone around to see it. Her first instinct was to try summoning her door, but she could tell as soon as it was in front of her that it wasn’t leading back to where she’d been.
Fine, then. Getting to her feet, she brushed her skirt down, her features turning pale again as a disquieting smile stretched across her face. It’s not like anything had ever stopped Road Kamelot from getting what she wanted before, and it definitely was not going to start now. Behind that childish face was a consciousness thousands of years old, with the both the hate and experience of all that time fuelling her.
And even perhaps just the simple idea of having some fun before the end. She’d always been so very good at making her own fun.
First-Person Sample:
If this is a game of hide and seek, someone forgot to tell me we were playing. It’s more fun with a different place, but it would have only been polite to ask first. I wasn’t really done with the last one. We didn’t even have all the players yet.
