Guess who's back,back again...to annoy you!

Apr 14, 2009 18:01

Hiya! I'm back, miss me? I was actually back last week but I had some let's say ~obstacles~ along the way,but i'll get to that later.

Italy was AWSOME!! So clean with pretty and colorful buildings and the historical sighs were a breath stealer!

You know what's not awsome?

Traveling all day(and sleeping) in a freakin' bus full of little brats (okay they weren't little, they were 10th grade, but i'm still older than them!) who don't know when to shut up and laugh like maniacs every second of EVERY DAY!
I'm not overreacting, it was 4 in the morning and they were still laughing, very loudly might i add,at some bloody thing and they even had the nerve to tell the driver to turn up the music!AT 4 FREAKIN AM IN THE MORNING!!!PEOPLE WERE TRYING TO SLEEP YOU MINDLESS MORONS!! I know I will sound like an old lady saying this but I was on the verge of going over there and scolding the hell out of them!! I mean I tolerated the very VERY loud music from 8 pm till 2 am,which apperently wasn't long enough for them. And it wasn't even good music,it was FREAKIN' CHALGA which i detest with every fiber of my being!!!
I swear,I don't know how the bus driver tolerated them,i would've thrown a table or a chair at their direction! And on top of that, that very same day we arrived home and I had to go to uni 2 hours later. I was literally a zombie,i'm surprised I even got there without smashing into a tree or something. And for a homecoming present I got to do a test very freakin day of the week!!I had one today too and they're still not bloody over!So I don't have time for anything, ughhhhh >>.<<

But let's focus on the good stuff.

We visited San Marino which is this really cute and beautiful town/country full of historical towers and cramped streets and medieval stuff! It was also every weapon nut's fantasy, there was a weapon store on every corner and in one of them I found...wait for it...ANIME FAN STUFF!!WOOOOHOOOOOW!! Which I of course couldn't afford but it was such a beautiful sight! There were kunai and shuriken from Naruto,Ichigo's sword Zangetsu and the swrods from Kill Bill and Heroes! Ahh I was in heaven! I know you lot from US are probably all rolling your eyes and going "Big deal" at this but we poor anime-merchandiseless-people don't have that luxury and we have to make our own T-shirts,mugs,key-chains and stuff. And we're doing a pretty damn good job too!
Too bad that when we arrived It was all cold and raining and there was this big fog so we could barely see. But i would really like to go back to that store town/country.

Next we spent 2 days in Rome ("The Eternal City").We visited the Coliseum(it was HUGE i tell ya!),a bunch of churches and cathedrals which names I don't remember (in my defense,it was a lot of information for my flea-sized brain!) I got my picture taken with Ceaser, he's a cool chap but didn't seem to want to talk to me,hmpf. We rode the subway, which was an experience for all of us,cause we don't have one,at least in my town.

We saw the fountain "Di Trevi" where being the cheap person that I am,I only threw in not 1 cent, but 1 stotinka(that's Bulgarian money and it's less than a cent :P) I'm not throwing away good money!

We also visited The Vatican and the big ass church "St.Peter" which was amazing yes,but so friggin big! Oh and the Sistine Chapel with the famous Michelangelo celling painting.Ya know, the one where God is reaching out to man? It was a pity we couldn't take pictures, they were forbidden. We also were forbidden to talk, which was a bit weird. There were even people who shushed us every 5 minutes.

After The Vatican we visited the Borghese house.Apparently the family which lived there collected and stole borrowed a lot of paintings. I'm no art geek,so I just thought there were pretty and also by the end of that day my feet were absolutely killing me so i couldn't quite enjoy viewing the paintings and pretending to understand them.

I gotta say while the sights were amazing I didn't really like the city.It was noisy with a shit load of people and dirty and just not hospitable,ya know? And the stores didn't have anything anime related so that immediately means fail in my book. It's one of the biggest cities in the world, how could they NOT have anything??
I also have to say that Italians are sneaky little buggers! While we were in Rome, they tried to scam us and even succeeded with a few women from our group. One shop owner actually had the nerve to go up to a girl from the group who was warning as and put 50 cents in her hand to keep quiet!! In front of EVERYONE! I mean I won't lie,we Bulgarians are sorta the same but we try to be ya know, subtle about it.

Next was Florence.Man I fell in love with that city! It was very beautiful and quiet and looked pretty cozy to live in. We first visited the church "Santa Croce" ,which is apparently like a graveyard full of tombstones,so it felt a bit creepy and morbid walking in there.
Then came the not-Dante's-house - our tour guide actually confessed to us that the building wasn't his real house and that it was built for the suckers tourists, heh. I repeat - sneaky little buggers! Then came the "Santa Maria del Fiore" cathedral, which was majestic! And we had about 2-3 hours of free time to shop. I bought this really cute green sweatshirt which I can't seem to take off and some really pretty necklaces made of Venetian glass. I later learned that they did sell them here at the mall but for 60 lv,and I got mine for only 6 euro, score! We basically bought all the gifts for family and friends from there cause It was very VERY expensive in Rome.

The same day we arrived in Pisa to see the crooked tower. But we only had about 30 min to take pictures cause it was getting pretty late. I had sworn to make a pic where i'm leaning on the tower and make it seem the reason it was crooked(stupid I know),but like I said,I didn't have the time, curses! I also imagined it to be a bit bigger than It actually was.Kinda like how my friend Lily saw the statue of Liberty and said that it wasn't that big as we thought.

But the best thing by far, which will probably be marked as one of the best days of my life (my life is pretty boring ya'll) was going to..

the Italian Disneyland!!!!!

IT WAS SO FRIGGIN' COOL!!!!

AAEFJDFHXA7WUIDYGAKUREYARGSJEAHGFJHDDUJREWFIUET943IJFOEJF

There were all these genre themed places like a western town,a medieval castle,an Indian village,Alice in Wonderland style, pirate,Egyptian and Arabian stuff and the ROLLER COASTERS WERE SO FREAKIN' CRAZY,SCARY AND AWSOME AT THE SAME TIME!!! I even got on the most extreme one called the "Blue Tornado"!!! ME!!! The mayor of Sissytown!! My friends couldn't believe it either!

There was also a 3D theatre, where while watching the movie they shift the seats and spray water at you and there's something tickeling your feet and really you feel like you're in the movie!
Also there was this big futuristic flying saucer thingy which gets you VERY up in the air,but it wasn't scary at all cause it was moving very slow. And when you reach the stop you can see the entire park and I made some pretty cool pictures.

(look how big it is,i'm a true hero people!)

So all in all I loved it,I finally got to see the world a bit! This is truly a trip i'll never forget!

P.S. Even though i'm not religious I thank God for saving my sorry ass from the earth quake, which was apparently very serious with a lot of victims...We were about 1 or 2 days away from the place it occurred,so THANK YOU!

P.P.S I'll fix the pics tomorrow,going to bed now.Goodnight!

Anime/manga talk will be next post probably after Naruto and Bleach come out.

so not fair, rant, italy bitchez, real life, picspam, epic win, effin awsome
