Settler's Times

May 24, 2007 19:42

I live stretched thin over a variety of timezones. It's like the floor of my house has a carpet of the World Time Zones.

Take for example, my room. Four clocks do not agree on the time. My laptop displays the time on the internet. My tulip desk clock, meanwhile, is 8 minutes advanced. My cellphone, due to my inattention (I have been disconnected .:sniff:.), is exactly 12 hours behind my laptop. The wall clock starts and stops, and is currently showing 8:26 (am or pm, don't ask me). And this is just my room.

My siblings' room is in limbo; their wall clock isn't working. They rely on their cellphones.

The living room is interesting. The wall clock is GMT +10. Do the math.

I went to my friend Hill's internet shop this morning, and was kinda... surprised 'coz Tita Susan (his mom) was the one cleaning the shop. Well, there isn't much to clean, I suppose, the ambience of the shop is almost the same as their home: squeaky-clean.

So after a lunch of Nissin's cup noodles, a little of KoL, notpron, and YM, Tristan (upon Louis's urging) taught me to play Settlers of Catan. Interesting. But it would have been more excitinf if their were two more players. It took him long enough to earn those victory points. ..

Tristan, Louis and I were supposed to play after Tristan ate his very late lunch (kasi 4pm na un), but I had to leave because I had to do some grocery shopping. Feeling like Tooru from Fruits Basket, I imagined what I should prepare for dinner, and bought chicken lumpia and cream of mushroom soup. .. PrikaKnorr!
