I has no time.
Well,
I had such a good time with my friends on Sunday night that I didn't remember I had to go back to Sacramento until midnight! And, because of some mysterious objects being trucked on my route, accompanied by police pace cars preventing traffic from getting too close to the slow, wide trucks, it took me 3 hours to get home.
I stayed in bed for most of the morning. My back was killing me; I was tired from fun and lack of sleep! I figured I could have wasted a few hours in the morning because I was going to do the bulk of my experiments in the afternoon. But, when I wandered in, suddenly I had to make a million phone calls and check things and talk to people. I didn't get to start my prepwork until 2ish... and was trapped doing that for 3 hours. Then, Finally... at 5pm, I could get to the actual work.
I only did half of it. I just couldn't get through it all in one sitting. I also needed to go home an work on my resume so i could apply for a job posting that expires tomorrow. I knew I wouldn't have time to get that done on time, so I did it asap.
I really don't have time to do the backed up work tomorrow, either. I'm overbooked already. I have to take a class on surgical techniques. It's going to take 5 hours to get there, sit through it, and come back. Plus, the experiements scheduled for that day, on top of the stuff I put off. I'm probably not going to get home until 10pm if everything was 100% in line for success... and it's not!
I think I'm getting a cold. My head hurts, my throat hurts, my nasal passages feel scratchy. I have no idea where it came from, but colds usually kick me in the shins until I kneel, then kick me in the head until I'm blacked out. I have no idea how I'm gonna cope with a cold and all these experiments this week. I can't keep putting them off, I have deadlines and... I'm going on a trip soon!
I also have other things to do before my trip. I need a hair cut and a new camera. I need to do all those "going out of town" errands like stopping the mail and giving our keys to friends so they can care for the cat. And I probably should vacuum sometime. I'm not going to have time to do this all on the weekend. I'm already booked for a family reunion and I'll probably have to work on Saturday, too!
I don't really have time to be sick and insomniac.
