Investigation & Recovery Unit
from the people that brought you Leverage

IYS is the largest insurance carrier in the world, specializing in the coverage of art, antiquities and intellectual property. In the
interest of their private and public clients, IYS has developed a crack in-house team of private investigators trained in uncovering
fraud and recovering stolen objects. In recent years, continuing a proposal developed by James Sterling and Ian Blackpoole, IYS has
started offering clients the option of using licensed and bonded IYS agents to secure the insured pieces. These individuals each have professional and personal attachments to their work yet each differ from one another greatly.

All's fair in investigation and recovery.

Eva Ashbury is not an individual to be underestimated. Her quick thinking and gut reaction have proved to be a vital
combination and have aided her ambitions to advance her career in whatever why is possible.

She is well aware of her worth to an organisation such as IYS' investigations and recovery department and will not
negotiate with anybody on anything once her mind is set.

Her direct nature has not made her popular over the years but it has proved useful in making some key contacts such
as Tara Cole. Whilst she does not socialise with her work colleagues in the 'normal' sense, she has begun to make
some strong connections with her team - especially with her right hand man Steven Tucker.

Although James Sterling is still officially an Interpol employee, he cannot resist the lure of checking up on the new
investigations and recovery department - as well as taking credit for a majority of its early successes.

Whilst he was the one who had suggested Eva Ashbury for the position of lead investigator, he often found himself
wondering if it had been a mistake. After all, she wasn't one to keep her opinions quiet and hated being made
out to be the fool - especically by those who attempted to take credit for her work.

Had he finally met his match?

Steven Tucker was a member of Felder’s fledging investigations and recovery department, working directly for Felder out
of IYS’ New York office. Son and grandson of a well respected New York City policemen, Steven was the first in his family
to graduate from college. He’d intended to be a lawyer, but his background and connections, plus a minor inArt History he
picked up to “impress the girls” put him on IYS’ radar. Felder brought him on board directly after graduation, and when
Eva Ashbury was hired Tucker was assigned to work with her on building up the department.

Charlie Tucker is Steven’s younger brother, and a bit of a family misfit. He owns and operates an electronics store in Astoria,
and on his own has developed a broad base of knowledge in the area of electronic surveillance. He is a tinker - always working
on the “next big thing”. He and Steven are constantly competing with one another. Steven was the family golden child, and
Charlie never quite measured up to his brother in the family’s eyes. Even though they remain rivals, Steven often finds himself
calling on Charlie to get perspective on a case. Charlie is more than willing to help, but is constantly pestering Steven
to try and get him hired on at IYS. Has a major crush on Tara Cole, one of Eva’s confidential informants.

Tara Cole is a grifter Eva had investigated - but never successfully prosecuted - while working for Interpol. She claims
to be retired, and has helped Steven and Eva on more than a few cases by offering an outsider’s point of view or providing
one of the I & R agents with an introduction to the right people. Tara is currently living on the Upper East Side, well beyond
her visible means, but neither Steven nor Eva have been able to pin anything on her to date. Tara has also been known
to encourage Charlie Tucker’s crush on her, a fact that drives Steven crazy.
