So... I figured that I really should give LJ another chance. I created this account in late 2006 just to comment on a piece of Harry Potter fanart, but then I sort of forgot about it, until the epic banning of Harry Potter fanartists in summer 2007, when I started following some communities. And then I simply forgot about LJ again, until now. A few of my friends started to create accounts and being active and that reminded me of this very account.
And I thought that it might be fun to have another try at this whole LJ thing. I started reading Pottersues a couple of months ago, so it'll be fun to be able to comment other than anonymously. And besides it's nice to have somewhere to obsess (and wank!) about fandom, since I try to not do that on my other blog, which is in Swedish. So I guess this will be kind of my way to ramble and talk about everything fandom that's going on in my life (and head), but I'll probably include other things as well. Whatever I feel like! This will be like... well, like my very own little dictatorship, I guess.
At the moment I'm sitting in bed, next to my boyfriend who is trying to fend of the cat which is trying to murder my plants. Nice and relaxing, really. We've just stumble across this Discovery Channel documentary call "The perfect penis" (and there is a sequel called "The perfect vagina"! Yay!) so we're planning to watch that. Doesn't that sound kind of freaky but still... awesome. Yeah. This is totally not fandom related but hey... TOLD YOU SO!
Anyway. My main fandom (and only fandom at the moment, though I've done quick visits in other ones) is the Harry Potter fandom. I've been reading the books ever since Philosopher's Stone was published in Swedish (which was in 2000. At least I think so.) but I first started to get involved in fandom in the spring of 2004, when I started reading and writing fanfic. In 2006 I discovered podcasts (I first listened to MuggleCast but later moved on to PotterCast) and started to enjoy talking about theories on the last book. In late 2007 I started to get seriously involved in the Swedish fandom, and now I'm the co-arranger of the biggest Swedish HP convention so far, which feels totally awesome and I can't wait to see what's in store for the Swedish fandom and it's fan base in the future.
Oh fuck, this became longer than I planned. Sorry. Got carried away there. So yeah.
We'll stop here.
