why, world, why?

Today in work was quite fun, for a change. I was only in the orifice for half a day, because we had a reunion. A 50th Anniversary reunion. 'Welcome Back the Class of 1959' or something. I had to escort an old guy to the School of Physics and Astronomy. He was cool, looked like Dick Van Dyke in Diagnosis Murder! AMAZING! While he was on his tour of the school I stayed in the security lodge talking with the fun Henry of Man(ual) Handling. So when I got back to the orifice in the afternoon, there were very few people there and it was very relaxed. Friday feeling. OH YES!

So my day went rapidly downhill once I got home. My stupid boots. One of them, anyway. You see, the lining in the one boot has managed to break itself, and found itself caught around my heel, thus cementing said boot to my foot. I could not remove my boot. And got so flustered I ended up having a full blown panic attack, with the sweating and the flailing nad the screaming and the crying. Needless to say, those boots are now in the bin for their mean-ness. I am all calmed down now though.
