my thoughts on SGU
The opening kinda confused the hell out of me, and almost didn't make me want to watch more. But I did. I continued to watch.
OMG! RDA is FAAAAAAT, man! My initial thought (after the laughing and the wave of nausea) was that Sam is SOOOOO not a chubby chaser, and so she's never going to let him tap her ass! Hells no. And, WTF?! As much as I love Robert Carlyle, what is with the dumbing down of his accent. He has the most amazingly strong Glaswegian accent in RL, complete with Maryhill slang. Let him speak like that in the show, dammit! My favourite part from the first 15mins or so: "Hi, I'm Dr Daniel Jackson..." Many LOLS! I love Shanks. I miss him.
The part where Lt Scott is having teh sexin' in the store cupboard.... Made me think of Sam & Cam having teh sexin' in store cupboards (amongst other places) all over the SGC! Because you know THEY WERE COMPLETELY ALWAYS AT IT! And probably still are for that matter.
SAAAAAAAAM!!!! Commanding the Hammond! Awwww, Amanda, how I miss you too. But at least I have Sanctuary in which to perv on watch you. And MARKS! And Sam. Did I mention Sam? So calm and so in control and still so beautiful, even under fire! And Walter! And Sam's so worried about the SGU cast. Bless her. She's probably laughing her ass off at the sight of The Chubster! LOL. Strange how my favourite bits from the first hour were the bits that contained THE REAL STARGATE CAST... Because I'm still not convinced by this show.... Time for part 2.
Lt Scott is the Cam character... "This bucket is really freakin' old..." Yeah, yeah... Cam used to call ships 'rust-buckets' and you are no Cam. Find you're own quirky thing, dude. And what's with the carrying your gun Cam-style?! I'll forgive you though, because you seem to be the prettiest thing in SGU thus far. Obviously with the exception of Sam and Daniel.

Yeah, I'm not as into the second half. I've told me bro to find the first 10mins just to see The Chubster. He's going to. LOL, can't wait for his verdict.
I'll be glad when that old Senator guy pops his clogs. He's annoying me. In fact, mostly everyone is annoying me. His daughter - Chloe, I think - is a little pathetic at the moment, as is the blonde (TJ??). Maybe they'll both grow a pair. Maybe. Yes!! Chloe grew a pair! She's beating up Rush! Ha! She reminds me of River Tam with her hair all lank and the way she looks through it and whatnot.
I do think Chloe and Scott are cute... Bless them. Bless their hearts. I'm not getting all shippy with them, however, because it's only the 2nd ep, ships will come in time, should I continue to watch. Which I'm not yet sure I will.
