Debauchery and whatnot
So I'm back from going to Santa Monica for the weekend. A few of us went to go celebrate my friend Jackie's 21st birthday. I can say that I had fun for MOST of the night. I wasn't too comfortable or safe feeling after the bars closed pretty much...
My friend Jackie, Samantha, and I checked into our hotel room to find that they gave us two rooms instead of one because they didn't have the one we asked for. We went to the apartment hotel so we got a studio apartment and a one bedroom. Once most of the group finally met us around 6 or so but didn't leave until almost 8 for dinner. The girls took a little long getting ready. We went to this really nice Italian restaurant that nobody seems to remember the name of anymore. We finished dinner around 10:30 and went to go meet 3 more people to go bar hopping. Jackie, Sam, and I actually changed to be cute yet comfortable.
Now before this all started, we thought it was be funny to get stickers for the night. Every drink you had...you would get a sticker. That way you would know how many you had the night before. I became the sticker and camera girl. I was the sober girl as well. Everybody kept asking ME if I was doing fine. We basically went to two bars the whole night. One girl from our group was trashed after having 3 double shots of Sex on the Beach. I think she actually had alcohol poisoning or something similar because she was so sick this morning.
So um yea...Jackie wasn't happy because she had no buzz by the second bar and Samantha was being extremely flirtatious with all the guys. She has a boyfriend who couldn't come along. Then there was me who was kind of just standing around having random conversations and occasionally taking pictures/applying stickers.
I gotta tell you guys...I had one whole shot. I was either going to have none or ONE shot of something if they really wanted me to. It didn't affect me and it was unable. The bartender bloody well forgot the name of what he made us.
*Here's where I didn't have that much more fun*
Last call was made and everybody had the idea to go buy more alcohol and go back to the hotel. We lost one guy but apparently he left to go buy the alcohol when they first had the idea. One guy named John kept draping his arm over me from the second bar on so that went for the car too. All the guys seemed nice and thought it was kind of funny that I wasn't drinking. Once we found parking at 2 in the morning (The car ride didn't make me feel safe due to the drunken people in the car) then we went back to the hotel.
From here on, people got progessively more drunk and a bit stupid...and a little loud. We were staying in a quiet place so I kept telling them to be quiet. You guys should know that it's hard to quiet down drunken people for too long. I kept leaving the bigger room to go to the smaller room (They were across from each other) just because I couldn't really stand being in there. The guys kept asking me why I was so stressed out over the noise and kept sitting close to me (At least they were cute. Haha). By 3 AM, I just either wanted the group to depart or me go to bed. I excused myself and went back to the smaller room...
10 minutes later came drunk Jackie and Allison who wanted to talk about drunk Samantha. Then Allison's boyfriend James came in, Mike, and John (guy who draped his arm over me earlier). It was way more quiet in this room with these guys but I they kept asking me if I had come in to go to bed. I told them yea but it didn't make them leave. John said I looked stressed out so he proceeded to give me a foot massage. Haha. This made me laugh. He was drunk so it wasn't much of anything except squeezing my feet hard for a few minutes. Jackie got sick twice and then basically passed out a little before 4. We got her settled into bed, got the others out and the lights went out by 4.
They were all gone by the morning but Allison and Jackie were still sick. I cleaned up the rooms and then it took us awhile to get back home because of Jackie.
That was pretty much an odd weekend. I got pictures though...some of them I could totally use against my friends. Haha.
