Just my luck... :(
Something really bad just happened...
I realized that one of the programs on my laptop wasn't running properly, so I decided to shut down and restart. Of course my computer insisted on installing 21 updates first... inconvenient, but not horrible - until it suddenly decided to crash after update 19. I tried, but it won't start up again.
So that most likely means my laptop is dying (= needs repair), or already dead (= need new laptop). Both options are highly inconvenient, and expensive... (not even to mention that my laptop isn't that old yet)
At least I learned from a previous crash and saved the most important files somewhere else. I also own a small netbook (my 'virtual notepad'), which I'm writing on right now.
However, a broken laptop is no good news... :(
Right now, I just hope I will be able to start it up once more (after letting it cool down for a while) to save a few files I recently updated but didn't save anywhere else (writing-related stuff and a book review I was working on). It would be a tiny silver lining at the the horizon... (*sigh*)
Please keep your fingers crossed for me.
And to all those I promised a message or email: looks like I won't be able to get back to you tonight... Please bear with me a bit longer, ok?
