I'm all open to the idea that TV series =/= RL. Really, I do understand that DNA tests can't be carried out within two minutes, at least not with a result, that faces mirrored in the reflection of the glass door in 3.5 miles distance in the passer-bye's eye can't really be used to idenify the baddies, and... you get my drift.

But, dear Rizzoli&Isles, cutting off a building's power supplies does not, I repeat, NOT result in all the mobile phones being switched off, even if you think that it adds to teh drama. It really doesn't.

Am seriously on the hunt for some new crime/mystery/history writers! I've been less than impressed with most of the latest books of writers whom I've been following faithfully over the past years, such as Elizabeth George, Simon Beckett, and Tess Gerritsen (although I by far prefer her Rizzoli to the TV version!), and Robert Goddard, to name but a few; and have been deeply disappointed with new ones such as Ann Cleeves. CS Sansom I still love, but dammit, where's a new book??

Please help!!! Suggestions needed!! *puppy dog eyes*

Changes to lj usually have me roll my eyes and groan in despair, but I've got to say that they did an amazing job with the new scrapbook... although it took me some frustrated yelling time to find out how to post multiple pics to one entry.

To prove that I can do it now, have some zoo picspam from last week:

Cute, eh, roadkill-like prairie dogs

and teh pretteh water lily

Another, well, teenage animal: one of our juvenile crocodiles, hatched November 2010 - they do look like adults already, don't they, although they're only about a quarter of their mom's size!

Some otherworldly creatures at the aquarium:
