Crafternoon at Laura's House

It's a success!
I'm so happy it went so well! I always get nervous that there won't be enough food, drinks, or things to talk about when holding get-togethers. I suck at small talk and would rather listen to everyone else most of the time. Everyone's wreaths turned out gorgeous. I'll have to post the pics when I get a minute. However, we didn't use half of the floral that I have. *makes a pouty lip* Oh well, maybe the girls at the Lab would get a kick out of having a Crafternoon, we'll see.
I do have to mention the watching of Thriller. While discussing MJ's demise it came up that Grandma and Mother dearest had never seen it. Neither had I infact. Anywho, You Tube as always came to the rescue and Grandma got to see her first music video!
I even got to discuss Lolita with Gran and the rest of them and actually got several good comments from my Mother on my blouse and the amazement at my shirring! She is too used to my sewing, so I don't get much in the way of compliments so it's always super awesome when she's impressed. We -me and Katie- passed around pictures of Mana which impressed the non-lolita fans in the group. I never realized that in every picture he hides his adam's apple, which makes the utmost sense especially when dressed as a girl. But I'm so wonderfully clueless that way ^_^ Katie gets points for informing me of such things!
And now with the Crafternoon out of the way I get to start sewing on my next project. I better start too because I keep meditating over it. I'm bizarre that way - At Tai Chi when I'm supposed to have my mind in the present (Sorry Instructor Jim!) I'm imagining a needle stiching a hem. I'm insane I know but it is ubber relaxing.
It was also great to see Katie's wedding even without sound. I'm so jealous of her outdoor wedding!! She looked fantasic and I loved the print on her dress! Congrats Katie whereever you are. Honey Robert's lucky to have you!!!

Toodles!
