Tribune blog storyheberjayApril 19 2005, 21:04:18 UTC
I am a reporter at the East Valley Tribune working on a story about blog communities such as LiveJournal. The premise of the story is that high school students who used to lock their diaries in their bedrooms now post their daily confessions, rantings and exploits on the Internet for the whole world to see. Parents who want to know about prom, for example, can visit LiveJournal.com and read about it. But few parents know what blogs are. Anyway, I'm looking for high school students who would be willing to share the teens' perspective on this trend and perhaps let us shoot a photograph to illustrate the story. If you want to check to make sure I'm legitimate, I can be reached at the Tribune at (480) 898-6533 or djames@aztrib.com. My editor can be reached at (480) 898-6514. If you comment for the story, we would need to use your full name. My deadline is 3 p.m. Wednesday, and the story is scheduled to appear in Thursday's editions. Just contact me if you're interested, or pass this info on to friends. Thanks.
