(no subject)
So I haven't updated in a while. Believe it or not, it hasn't just been laziness, although I have spent a lot of time asleep for the past few weeks. When I'm not asleep, I'm either working or nauseous, and sometimes both.
So, if you haven't figured it out by now... Yep, I'm pregnant. :o) And for those of you who don't know what's been going on for the past year or so... YES, it was planned. VERY planned. Pretty much down to the minute. We didn't end up having to spring the 16-or-so-grand for IVF, but we did do a second round of shots and an IUI. I didn't tell anyone about it, because I didn't really think it would work, and I didn't want to answer a lot of questions about the process if it ended up being unsuccessful. The doctor only gave us a 5% chance of this being successful, and we had already started making plans to start the IVF process this summer. On April 5, the blood test came back positive, and I've had 4 ultrasounds done since then. All of them look great (well, to be *totally* honest, they look like blobs to me, but the nurse doing them says that they look great). So, now that they're giving us a good chance that everything will be A-OK, I wanted to let you all know why I've been MIA.
Brandy, I guess this means no mambo taxis for me until mid-December. However, I should be able to celebrate my 31st b'day in style (my due date is the 18th... my b'day is the 23rd, and I have a feeling that by that point I will be so very ready for a margarita). It also means no road trip, unless you want to stop every half hour to go to the bathroom. However, I am always up for a trip to the mall or a movie & a bite to eat. Trust me, these days I am *always* up for a bite to eat!
Only 3 days left until I am FREE from school for the summer! Whoooo hoo!
By the way, if you know anyone who wants to buy a convertible Bug, I'm about to have to buy a real car. I would wait a while, but I don't think a convertible will sell as well in November as it will in May.
