[Journal Entry] Spring in the air!

Mar 24, 2010 01:08

Wow, that spring dance was a truly magical night! By some trick, maybe Ariel making up for the wacky things that happened (I did *NOT* need to see that creep or a vision of him on my bed! Eek! I atill can't get that image out of my head, till now...), I was somehow shspeshifted to look the way I did when I was eighteen, and a much happier eighteen, at that: I got a chance to enjoy the kind of things guys that age should experience, like chatting with pretty girls and waltzing with them. Sure enough, Duck and Madame Margot were there, and I got to teach Margot how to waltz: she was a quick learner and she didn't mind in the least that the waltz was considered a bit scandalous for her time. I'm really starting to like her, whatever form she takes and I can't help wondering, if a guy like me just might have a chance with her. And Duck is doing great: she only stepped on my feet once, but that was my fault for nuzzling her cute little topknot. I couldn't help myself: it was tickling my nose and I couldn't resist tickling back!

More new folks have shown up, too. We had a rainstorm a few nights back and a fellow named Edgeworth came running in between the raindrops. He seems a bit oblivious to what's going on here, and I can't help worrying he might have a breakdown of some kind when he finds out just how weird it is here. Kami-sama help us both if he finds out what I am. He's a nice guy, a prosecutor of some sort, and a bit stuffy, but a good guy nonetheless. He reminds me a bit of Tatsumi, only not as mean and he dresses better (you hear that? You need to put some color in your wardrobe, Tatsumi; the brown suits get a bit drab, or is color too expensive or something??).

And when I was out doing some much-needed work in the yard, I met a cat-boy who's also named Asato: he's a bit shy, but really sweet and cheerful. I've shared a meal with him by a little campfire he lit: I'll admit, I was a little bit squicked when I found he was cooking a rabbit he'd been hunting, but that's what cats do, and he's otherwise harmless and friendly
